Dr. David Craig Reed III, MD

When you think there may be something wrong with your heart, you need a doctor who will take the time to talk to you and explain things a layman can understand. Dr. Reed is such a doctor. He speaks softly and calms you. He is also interested in the whole patient, not just where it pertains to the heart. Would definitely recommend!!

Dave has given excellent care to both of my parents. He diagnosed their problems were not heart related and sent them to appropriate treatments for blood clots and endocrinology, respectively. One must admire a Doc who doesn't keep fiddlin' with a person to test every angle of his speciality - and refers them to the right specialists right away. Also I went to HS with David - did not know him well, but way back in the day he was known as smart, ethical, and above politics. So glad he practices medicine in our community.

From the time I walked in the door and dealt with the receptionist, Dr. Reed's team gave me great care. No one made me feel judged due to my needing medical care at such a young age. They even went the extra mile by cleaning up poor charting that had been done previously, when they didn't have to. Dr. Reed did not talk down to me, and didn't try to talk out of my understanding. He gauged my ability to understand and just talked with me about the situation. He told me exactly what to expect for my stress test, and then followed up personally (not a member of his team) on the phone, so I wouldn't have to come in again. Beginning to end, they all provided great care, and I feel good recommending him to anyone in need of a cardiologist.

In and out in less than an hour, with all of my and my wife's questions answered and explained thoroughly, and that's with them having to do an EKG, as well! Not only that, but he made sure to tell me what to expect going forward. Also, he's not one to rake you over the coals-he told me that he could give me my test results over the phone, there was no need to incur a charge for another office visit. I can't believe it went that fast. Everyone in there was on the ball. I have no problem relying on his medical guidance, or going to see him again if I have any further problems.

Dr. Reed has very little interest in anything but the bare necessities to get thru the face to face part of the appointment. He did an obvious brush off to the one question I had about a new med and diagnosis his staff had called about and he put me on, even tho I had not seen him since and needed a little information about. He did not ask me if I had a question about anything and I left feeling frustrated and brushed off. On my first initial visit and my second, my husband attended the appointment. Dr. Reed hardly even looked at me while doing almost all the talking. He addressed all my husband's questions thoroughly, and always looked at him,even if I had expressed the question. I finally gave up.My husband and I even wondered if he thot my husband was the patient. I guess if my husband had gone to this latest appointment, he would have explained and answered all of his questions. I find the little regard that he obviously has for women offensive and I am strongly considering… finding another Cardiologist. HOW WOULD HE FEEL.
