Dr. David William Reid, MD

A compassionate doctor, with whom I've been in therapy for 5+years. He literally saved my life and has been a source of great change in my life. The miracle of any therapy is that (hopefully) it works. I'm in my 60s and he is older than I, but he's a perfect fit and I was lucky to have found him. His type of therapy (talk) may not be for everyone, and any therapist had to be a good fit for a client. He doesn't take insurance, but that was made clear to me from the start. Also, re meds, EVERYONE has been struggling for some time as there is a shortage off and on for some meds. Not Dr's fault. Jumping through hoops to get a prescription is the name of the game these days. His office has a system that creates the least amount of stress for ALL involved. His office staff are the best also!

Dr. Reid and his staff are unprofessional, charge you for everything under the sun,  and do a subpar job when executing tasks. He is a pill pusher and if you need meds and can pay money, he is interested in you, but he has no actual concern over your mental health. If you need extra proof, look at the disciplinary action against him in Jan 2021 (Case #197171). Dr. Reids conduct described in the disciplinary action is essentially an illustration of how he runs his business. If you need pills, and you are willing to pay, no questions asked, he will prescribe you anything, even if he is fully aware of past drug abuse in patients. Every time I call, I have to pay Reid’s office an absurd amount of money, and I am given a task to complete in order to refill anything, which should be the job of the employees who work there. Over the past decade, I have given this man tens of thousands of dollars, expressed to him my deepest mental health issues, and met with him in person and over the phone,… equating to hundreds of hours, and he doesn’t even know my name. This office is responsible for facilitating a pill mill where I personally know of several individuals who have become addicted to pills that he prescribed, he is aware of this addiction, and does NOTHING because he knows can exploit drug addicts. I have never had a positive experience with Dr. Reid, nor do I ever think I will. I have voiced my concerns to him and his staff time and time again, I am given a positive response and then nothing is changed. I cannot express this enough: if you want a doctor who actually cares about you, has professional and hardworking staff, and doesn’t see in only dollar signs, DO NOT GO TO DR. REID.  Again, if this is not enough to sway how people view him, look at the disciplinary action that was taken against him in Jan. 2021 (Case #197171).

I went to dr. Reid as a child other dr.s had put me on so many meds ot was insane they just kept putting me on more meds to fix the side effects of the others and he got me down to all but 3 pills and worked with me for yrs he is the best he has helped so many he is great at what he does and he always told me and my mom I wouldnt have to be on meds all my life and he was right...

Dr. Reid does not check PMP before prescribing controlled substances to patients, prescribes addictive drugs to known drug addicts, chooses not to coordinate care with other mental health providers treating his patients. If you're looking for a pill pusher, he may be your man. His nurse practitioner is naive and pumps out scripts on his behalf.

Dr. Reid has been my psychiatrist for 10+ years. He has truly saved my life and given me the meds and therapy needed to live my best life. He is patient and kind and he truly cares about his patients. If you’re looking for a psychiatrist in the area to help you through the good and bad times in your life then dr. Reid is the perfect doctor. Note ** I’d rather pay out of pocket for a psychiatrist who goes above and beyond than to go to a psychiatrist who accepts insurance and doesn’t have the ability to properly diagnosis individuals.** Worth every penny.

Reid is a pill pushing condescending liberal who gives priority to entitled welfare minorities. He price gougies other non welfare patients and It takes non welfare patients weeks to get a 20 min apt. He also charges a ludicrous fee to call in prescriptions refills for those not on welfare.

You have to pay out of pocket......but well worth the money. Love him.

He tells irrelevant stories about himself. He is long-winded. I was there with my adolescent daughter. He spent more time talking about himself than talking to her. I have no confidence in him. He is simplistic and seems to think he should speak to you as though you were a first grader. I am sure he is a great Grandfather to someone and a nice man. Just not someone i will entrust my daughter's well being to.

he is the best doctor who is very compassionate and sincerly cares about his patients and is very involved in their care on and off the clock, you will not find a better psychiatrist, I promise.
