The doctors nor the Radiology Assoc of Fred facility is the problem. The issue is something changed in 2016 that took this from a 5 star to zero star because of the billing incompetence. Your HSA payments sit unprocessed on their end for weeks and months, the very first bill you receive that matches with an insurance EOB is months later and marked final notice. The payment you make toward a specific service date they disperse those moneys toward other encounter dates instead of the claim id resulting in a nightmare to resolve. You explain all bills paid and they say no because we used that payment for two different service dates instead for which I have not received a bill for yet. Then they send you a long computerized sheet of how they applied moneys (because I quote "it is your problem to resolve we just send the bills) of which even they cannot figure out because my total out and their total owed matched at the end. I'm pretty sure they are scamming customers knowing most do… not religiously match bills to EOB's and HSA claim ID's and keep them in an organized fashion that is court room ready. They bank the patient is too sick, tired, and disorganized and will pay again. The billing department is NOT willing to trace over phone how they applied payments so you can help them untangle the mess, the collections agency phone numbers just ring and ring with NO answer EVER during the entire hours of operation. My illness requires the use of MANY Frederick doctors and offices, this one is now the only one that is not trained in billing nor in resolving issues they create. Fortunately I have great CIGNA and HSA representatives that have proof I have paid all the claims and the payments have not been processed on their end or the money was applied to other than the claim ID it was intended.
