Dr. David John Ries, MD

Had him as a doctor late one night in the spring and was absolutely unhelpful. He was not warm, lacked empathy, and told me there was “nothing objectively I can do,” which are not words a patient would like to hear from a doctor when they are in pain. It didn’t help that it seemed like he gave up trying to declare a diagnosis 3minutes into our conversation. I would not recommend (not like one has the choice to pick him as an ER doctor); I wish he was warmer and approached my case more delicately then he did.

I was seen in ED by Dr. Ries. He was polite, respectful, thorough with great bedside manner. I felt heard and my concerns were addressed.

Was seen on 05/11 after a car accident and he was extremely kind and apologetic due to the wait. I wasn't upset since it is an ER and I was certainly not the highest priority on the list and I had no acute injuries. He even acknowledged my daughter in the room and was incredibly thorough. He listened to everything I had to say and made to sure to address all of my concerns. I also second the commenter who said he was handsome, lol. He had an easy demeanor and made me feel relaxed instantly.

Dr. Reis is everything one could hope for in ER. He's relaxed , communicative, informed, polite, patient. And did I say "respectful"? If we have any reason to head for the ER in Northfield again - we hope he is on duty.

I was seen by this doctor in northfield. The staff wasn't the best but this doctor was great. He is really knowledgeable, he is really tender, and he is handsome as can be!!!!

I was sent to Dr Reis because my doctor was booked. I went to the doctor for a prescription - not a 40 page reading assignment. I found one prescription works better than others and when I asked for it he went off...later apologizing but refused to fill the prescription. Now I am taking three pills for 2 weeks instead of the known prescription that works. I know why I got in so fast-who would pay for a doctor to belittle you!

I visited dr. Ries recently. His nurse was great but he was stuck up and did not lisen to my problems. Went to another doctor a few days later who really lisened to me.
