Staff is horrible. ... as you can see from the rest of the reviews. ..I worked as a practice manager for years and patient care was paramount. ..Doctors can torpedo their practice with bad patient care from the front office staff. ... Dr Ritter's staff is one of those bad eggs... I will go above and beyond to make sure others do not see him .

Kind and couteous. Would highly recommend. Only issue I have is that the waiting room is so cold and when asked if they could do something about it the girl at front so they could not because the peole that work in the back would then be the ones that are cold.

Its a shame when you find a good doctor but the staff in the office is the reason you refuse to use them. Dr Ritter was very nice & took the time to explain everything to my mother and I. That was very important to us but the office staff is the reason I will find a new doctor. I was so excited after seeing Dr Ritter about the surgery until I had to deal with insurance. The woman who handles the insurance is so rude & uninterested in her job I truly do not believe that retraining her would help. In order to help patients with medical insurance & do it well, you need to have the knowledge and also good customer service skills. It was shocking to find out the one and only person over insurance lacked both! Before taking the time to speak to me she informs me the surgery is not covered by my insurance & that I would need to pay for it. She started give me options on how to pay for the surgery as if money was not a problem. What she wouldnt let me explain was I had already called my… insurance company & new my benefits very well. When i asked her questions she was so rude & acted as if I was wasting her time. To make it worse my primary doctor sent a letter to help with the insurance process & she acted ticked off that they were helping me. She does not return calls & is quick to inform you that she only deals with insurance on Fridays. Hope you dont have a question until a Friday or it can wait until one.Disappointed does not touch how upset I am. Dr Ritter was very nice and helpful but you always will deal with the staff in an office more than the doctor. I hope he finds someone with a better knowledge of insurance & who is there to help the patients.

I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon to have been referred to. Dr. Ritter and his staff were very pleasant and answered any questions or concerns I had. I never felt "talked down to" like so many doctors do. After surgery, he sat down and spoke to my husband and answered his questions. Would definitely recommend him!

No offense but if I knew then what I know now I would have saw another doctor. His nurse never returns calls and is very very rude. Been waiting on a return phone call for two weeks. Had a friend who went to another doctor for bariatric surgery. She scheduled her appointments after me and she is already approved and surgery date is set. I dont have the slightest idea whats going on with my paperwork. So Im going to just start all over. I see my new doctor on Friday. Ive been so motivated and on track. Now I just feel ignored and unappreciated. The doctor was ok. I only saw him once. The nurse was ok at first. But if you call to ask questions she can be really rude and let it be known by the tone in her voice that you are getting on her nerves. UGHHH so disappointed. But Im just going to focus on my new appointment with my new doctor. So ready to have my surgery.

Excellent. We have had 3 family members use Dr. Ritter and all have been so pleased. He is a professional and cares about you as an individual. We highly recommend him.

If you want borish, bombastic behavior, then this is your guy. I waited for close to an hour to see him. When he came in, he lectured me for five minutes, then wheeled and left the room. My questions were never answered. In surgery I saw him for five seconds. I don't even know if I will follow up, the exeperience was so horrible.

I waited for 20 mins. when I walked into office while staff person was on her cell phone on a personal call! Then she signed me in & took my co-pay. Was the first appt of the day. Waiting in exam room for another 45 mins. I walked out, got my refund and never looked back. It shouldn't be that hard to give someone my business and trust!!

Dr. Ritter has performed 2 surgical procedures that I have had, and I dont think I would not let any other surgeron other than Dr.Ritter do surgery. He is very kind and caring and the scaring is very hard to see he is a great surgeron and I have a lot of respect for him as a person and as a doctor. Thank you Dr. Ritter for being the great person that you are.

Dr. Ritter was wonderful. He spent as much time as my husband and I needed and answered all our questions. He eased my concerns and fears. He walked me through every step. His office was very help and answered all my questions. I will always return to Dr. Ritter and will refer anyone (friends & family) to him. The best care I could of asked for.
