Dr. David M Rivas, DO

Staff is great as for Dr. Rivas I rather have a root cannel than to ever see him again, the old guy is strange, and now I know why many gave him 2-3 stars. I give him a 20- he was a nightmare totally. Run!!

David started my encounter by telling us (wife and I) how smart he was. He knew better than her previous Docs conserning what meds she should be taking and refused to prescribe proven successful medications. His claim is they are contraindicated was not supported by any other docs. When queried if " And you won't let 10 years of successful treatment get in your way will you?" he responded No. He only lasted about a year in Hawthorne NV. Good riddance to him

My physician was out of State and Dr Rivas attended to me at Urgent Care. I had pain which appeared to be (and was) appendicitis. Dr Rivas emphatically was adamant I had a bladder infection, and without a blood test prescribed antibiotics. A week later after a blood test and C-T Scan ordered through my regular physician, I had to undergo emergency surgery . My appendix had a tumor embedded in it and due to the rupture there were malignant cells on my abdominal wall. I had to have a second surgery removing part of the colon and abdominal wall. This unnecessary process could have been avoided should the appendix misdiagnosis been attended to in time, which has changed my life.

Unprofessional, uncaring physician who leaves his patients hanging. Numerous times, patients show up for appointments and he had called in sick, giving them no notice. Also, by moving on from one location to another frequently, can't establish any knid of relationship and trust with patients. Lasted only 10 months in Pahrump. Can't seem to settle in one place. Has practiced in 3 different cities in Nevada already, as well as 5 different states. Terrible bedside manner.

Dr. Rivas has no bed side manner and is extremely ruse. he left his previous office and i am trying to get my childs records and when i call and my new office calls he has harrasses us and taken drastic measures. DO NOT GO TO THIS MAN
