Dr. David Philip Romeo, MD

Got his feeling hurt when I started to ask my PCP for a referral for second opinion. Showed up to all my visits as planned. At the last one it was with his PA. She does exam and what not. Said doctor would like to talk to you too. Said ok. He comes in. Says he is not comfortable with our relationship. Didn't explain anymore about it. Said he will no longer see me. His CMNA looked at MyChart messages asking for the referral. So I'm guessing that's what it was. Plus I think he knew I figured out he was doing extra procedures that weren't needed.

no follow up on a serious condition

Dr. Romeo is very calm and reassuring. He takes his time and answers all questions without rushing me. I feel very comfortable with him and would highly recommend him.

This is a visit that I really don't enjoy, particularly the prep for a colonoscopy...but Dr. Romeo makes me feel comfortable and is always very reasurring.

I found Dr Romeo to be smart, knowledgeable, understandable, focused and trustworthy. In other words, he is a Dr I trust with both my health and the health of my family.

Dr. Romeo was very kind and compassionate and made me feel comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone having digestive issues.

Dr. Romeo was the Gastroenterologist on-call at Sycamore Hospital the weekend I was there. I was referred to him due to my symptoms. He answered my questions and explained what tests he would be running while indicating that further testing may be required to obtain a diagnosis. Time spent was brief but I felt he maximized the time he was there. His staff is very helpful,accommodating, and I felt very empathetic to my situation. The follow-up procedure I had was done efficiently and in a very timely manner. Thank you.

Spent 5 minutes with me before the procedure. He ask if I was having any problems, I indicated that I had a knot in my right side and that was the purpose of my procedure. He quickly responded back with a comment that my paper work said I was there for a routine screening. I told him again that I was there because of the knot. After my procedure and while I was somewhat still out it. I ask about the knot he told me he really did not spend the time on that and if I needed anything else I could make another appointment. So I know no more today then before the procedure. I am not a happy camper and would not go back to him for anything. I feel that he did what he wanted to do and I feel if there was any questions as to why I was there that his office should have called my doctor.
