Absolutely inconsiderate and uncompassionate. Did not take into consideration my life and the lives that depend on me. Committed me without any history or reason. Couldn't even look me in the eye when he put in the order. Complete coward

Called for my mother who was referred by her primary care physician. Office didn't return my calls. When I did get a live person, she was rude and informed me they do not take insurance and it is $500 for a consultation. Interesting that they are listed as a provider on Blue Cross Blue Shield. Read the reviews, and stay away from this doctor. Doctor and staff should retire.

Dr Rooney is a superior psychiatrist. He knows his medicine. He is kind. He is worth seeing, After seeing several psychiatrists, he finally got it right. I am doing well. the best in my life. Further, I love talking to him. I assume some of the negative reviews below are by people who are chronically unhappy with their doctors as they do not describe Dr. Rooney,

Uncaring and mostly money hungry.

I took my 88 yr old father to Dr Rooney to treat his anxiety and depression. Dr Rooney seemed caring and competent. My dad was prescribed medications which helped for a little while. My dad started to have dementia and Dr Rooney was extremely difficult to contact and did not return my phone calls or emails even though I expressed great concern in my email and phone calls to his staff. Eventually I was able to have a conference call with Dr Rooney when my dad had his appointment and the Dr charged %50 more because I was part of the visit. In addition, his office is barely acceptable for patients in a wheel chair. You have to pickup a heavy ramp and put it outside the door to get inside. Also, wheelchairs do not fit in the bathroom. Find a different doctor.

I have taken my Father-N-Law to Dr. Rooney for several years. The Doctor is always late for his appointments and I have waited as long as 90 minutes to get into see him. He requires payment up front and does not deal with insurance issues. All appointments last no longer than 5 minutes. When my Father-N-Law was hospitalized, the Doctor did not seem to have any interest in his situation. He is away from the office more than in the office.

A very good diagnostician and knows his medicine.

Dr. Rooney is an exceptional doctor who I would recommend to anyone.
