He failed to have all the data from my exams with him when he gave me his evaluation/recommendations.He had to go back to his office to check some of the critical numbers.I decided to get second opinions of his recommendations from nationally recognized cardiologists who understand the difference between "Athletic Heart" (with and without valvular issues) and true cardiac myopathies. They disagreed with his overly conservative and aggressive prescriptions (including an immediate valve replacement). Their recomendations were in stark contrast to Dr. Rubenson's advice.He refused to accept that his advice may need to be modified and became a major impediment to my receiving other non-cardiac, medical treatments.I can not recommend this cardiologist for any athlete..he may do well with true cardiac myopathies but can't partition/distinguish betwenn this and athletitic hearts.
