Dr. David James Sargent, MD

Love him!!! Best DR. ever

I only had good experience with Dr.Sargent I could tell from the first appointment that he is very professional and experienced, gives you confidence and he is a man of faith in God after I gave birth he asked if he could pray for us...that was so awesome! It shows that whatever he does is more than just a" job" it's a calling and a gift that someone has in helping others!I also had a miscarriage and he and all the personal were so caring and comforting toward us going through that! There so much to tell! Will conclude with the recommendation that you can always count on Dr.Sargent!

I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE THIS DR. HE DELIVERED MY 4TH CHILD. A GIRL. I ALSO HAVE 3 BOYS. AND OUT OF ALL MY DELIVERIES. HE IS THE BEST DR I HAVE EVER HAD. WHEN I WAS ABOUT READY TO PUSH MY DR OUT HE SHOWED UP SO FAST. I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH HIM DELIVERING MY DAUGHTER. HE ALSO PREYED WITH ME AND MY HUSBAND AFTER I DELIVERED HER. I WOULD GO TO HIM AGAIN IF I EVER HAVE ANOTHER BABY HE IS THE BEST OUT THERE.

So when I moved to Portland my records didn't transfer over. I didn't have insurance either so I called some places they recommended Dr Sargent. I called got an appt and told them I didn't have insurance. They worked with me and I was thankful! He always listened to my needs and wants! He is an amazing doctor! Girls I know you might be nervous about a man dr I was, but Dr Sargent is so gentle and even in labor after breaking my water he was so sweet helping me through a contraction. All I have to say if you want a positive upbeat labor, He is for you!! He delivered both my kids!!! He prayed with us afterwards and kept coming back to hold my son even after he was off the clock!! I now have a different insurance and I miss him!! I cant bring myself to find another DR!!! He respects women and, Birth is a celebration to him!! Ill never find another DR Like him!! Sad!!

He's always smiling, very caring and cheery. Excellent bedside man or and does a great job. I had a complicated delivery with my son and he kept me calm and un-worried through it all. He delivered me 27yrs ago, and he delivered my son 1 1/2yrs ago. He'll be delivering my second son in 7 weeks :)

Dr. Sargent is an outstanding diagnostician, and a fantastic OB. He has delivered all 3 of my kids. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dr. Sargent was recommend to me by my friend Tiffany. I was kinda nervous having a male doctor for the care of my pregnancy but once I meet with him he made me feel really comfortable. His office staff is awesome my favorite was his nurse she is extremely sweet and always asking about ur day and always has a smile on her face. Same with dr Sargent always smiling. Even after he delivered my son he would always ask how he was and I was even able to ask him question about concerns I had about my son. Dr sargent is an excellent doctor and I would definitely recommend him to others I'm glad I had him for my first pregnancy!!!!

He delivered my 2nd and 3rd children , and I loved him all the way up to the end of my pregnancy with my 3rd daughter , I thought my water had broke or was leaking and it turned out to be that I was actually leaking urine which can be common in the 9th month, he and the nurse were laughing at me after he told me he thought I was leaking urine and it was so humiliating I wanted to cry.so I skipped my appointments with him and when I was in labor he instructed the nurse at the hospital to scrub me down with betadine the nurse could not figure out why seeing as I had no infection. delivery went okay then at my postpartum checkup I was very concerned about the abusive marriage I was in and told him about it and he did not care. tried to make a appointment to see him with my 4th pregnancy and he flat out refused to see me.

Dr. Sargent was referred to me as a teenager with a huge tumor on my ovary that my school based clinic missed and mis-diagnosed for over 2 years...He was chubbier, and I was a kid. As I grew older and had other issues he was there for me, and I would keep coming back for him to give me good or bad news, with a calming wisdom on what to do next. He started running and lost lots of weight, he'd reccomed to me: walking/running/NO Arbys, etc. We'd talk about if I would or could have kids in the future? Upset about a procedure he'd talk as long as it took to move forward wiht confident answers and a plan for recovery. He is super smart, an obvious loving dad/grandpa/friend/life giver (as you see pics of all of his fans on the way to your room)! He is thoughtful into what he says to you at the harsh moments..we did go through a miscarriage too together. He delivered all of my kids at the graceful Adventist Hospital next door to his practice. NOTE: They are a Vegetarian hospital :) Suprised… my first meal for sure :0 but it's okay and good for digestion..The only time I have had to wait longer for an appt-or had been re-scheduled was when he was attending to an emergency c-section.. or to a very intense in office situation. Of course I was okay with that, and I was pleased to know that he would always be there for me too as needed.I would reccomend Dr. Sargent to anyone looking for a great OB/GYN, you wont be dissapointed, and he has smiely eyes. Dr Sargent delivered me 27 years ago, and delivered my son (as well as my nieces and nephews)I couldn't have had a better dr. I even paid out of network prices just so I could go to him. He's always smiling, excellent bedside manor, and is one of the nicest doctors around. He never makes you feel bad for asking dumb questions and i've never waited more than 5 minutes to get into a room and 5 minutes to see the Dr. 5 Stars in every way!!
