Scales enters the room with charm. But when you're a well informed patient about your body, and know more than his scripted text, you're in trouble. When you don't agree with his recommendations, you get slammed with, "You're dying, if you don't follow" whatever. When a protocol works for you, evidence-based, you get, "I'm not comfortable..." He's well programmed by his masters, to the point of being dangerous to your health. The perception is that he's afraid to be genuine, or step outside some imaginary line, because, as he says, "We risk our licenses."
