Dr. David Douglas Schaffer, DO

The staff is ghetto, unprofessional and have horrible attitudes. The doctor, by all accounts, should not be licensed. His staff takes advantage of him, they make extended personal phone calls, and refuse to answer the office phone. His "2" female staff members are lazy and unbelievably pathetic, which is to say the least. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to see after my son's pet frog!!

This doctor wouldn't return my phone calls for a medication refill for a week. I ran out of the medication and became unstable. I was forced to seek out another doctor on my own because he became negligent. He was also always very late. Each appointment took half a work day, just for Rx refills. When talking with me, he ended up talking about himself. His staff were miserable, admitting to looking for another job, and took it out on patients. Also, he moved offices, but I didn't know until I went for an appointment and saw a note on the door. The other office was 20 minutes away, and I was charged a "no show" fee. I couldn't call on my way because the new office didn't have a working phone yet. There was a mess with the property owner and his lease, which is why his business was basically evicted. That's part of why he couldn't keep his phone number. This is what he told me in his office when we were supposed to be discussing my care. I don't think he should have his license anymore.… He's irresponsible, not dependable, unprofessional, and chronically late. Do NOT see this doctor.

Wait time is awful.Office staff is rude and not helpful. Nurse takes a week to call you back, if she ever does. Not a reliable doctor for treating patients with mental disorders.
