Dr. David Schechter

I had a covid-19 test by this office. I asked when I made the appointment if it would be the Sars PCR test. I was assured that it was. Well, it wasn't whmy surgeon's office received the results 2 days before my scheduled surgery. I had to run to the city (from Long Island) on a moments notice to get the proper PCR test. Also, This office is EXTREMELY disorganized! When you call them, they keep transferring you to other people and you could wait for literally one hour to get someone to speak to. And when you finally do, they lie to you!

The Doctor seems to be ok but his staff is the most incompetent group of people I've ever dealt with in my life. First I went in for a check up and he diagnosed me with a weak heart. Afterwards he prescribed several medications which helped but then he wanted to see me every week for several different reasons (Milk my insurance). Long story short I started to get discouraged so I called my primary doctor so he could recommend another cardiologist. I only asked for this because on several occasions I had asked his staff to provide me with a hard copy or a link to my test results and each time (5xs to be exact) the staff said that they would send it I never received it. So I went ahead and found another cardiologist. How can you tell your patient they have a condition but not provide them with their paperwork or a to view their results. Trust me..you do not want to waste your time here. Before you choose a doctor make sure they can provide you with a copy of your test results in case you… want to get a second opinion. DO NOT PUT YOUR LIFE IN THEIR HANDS! Trust me ????

This doctor delivers excellent patient care. I highly recommend him. His office is extensive all type of test offered. State of the art office. All modern equipment.

I was charged $30 for appointment fee that I was forced to make. I was told that I have to make an appointment in order for me to sign out - never heard of this before. When I complain about the fee I was threatened with collection agency. I waited over a week and a half for Dr Schechter to read my blood work , still waiting. I decided to print my results and have a family nurse read it for me. Truly a terrible experience.

Dr Schechter is amazing. There was almost no wating time and inows what he is doing. He has that warmth, which makes him a very uniqe doctor.
