Dr. Schmeidler and his nurses (and Ark City Clinic receptionists/staff) have always treated myself and my husband professionally and with care. He always manages smiles and positive attitude -- seems like small things, but being comfortable with our doc and getting custom attention and care are important to us. We also appreciate that he regularly offers tips that we can do ourselves to be healthier and prevent potential future medical issues.

He would rather collect money from insurance people than take care of his patients. I was at the ER with a tumor, heart issues and more and he wanted to send me home. The nurses made him paddle my heart and do Ct scan of my stomach and help me. If it weren't for them I would have died. He has NO PASSION for his patients. None.

I have required several surgeries for years and he refuses to treat me as needed. Terrible terrible Man! Cusses like a sailor. I get tired of him yelling out side of my door in the hallway.

I was delivered by dr. Schmeidler almost 30 years ago. Because of his decisions during my birth, I nearly died and my mom ended up with a complete hysterectomy. In addition, he neglected to notice obvious symptoms of my subtle spina bifida, which was not caught until I injured my back as a teen. Several years later, his negligence nearly cost my brother his life when he was seen for severe headaches and blackouts and schmeidler told him "it was all in his head." He has since been diagnosed with Chiari and has undergone multiple brain surgeries. Most recently, schmeidler was the attending when I went to the local ER due to numbness/tingling, swelling and severe pain in both hands. I almost immediately became leery of his treatment of my symptoms because he completely ignored the fact that both hands were involved and only focused on the one I'd previously broken. Not only that, his diagnosis did not fit my symptoms and his recommended treatment not only had no effect on the one… hand treated but also made the symptoms in the other worse. I've since learned I most likely am suffering the beginning stages of rheumatoid arthritis and the numbness/tingling is possibly a serious symptom that could become permanent if not treated quickly. My hands have been numb and tingling for about a month now, and I'm currently waiting to get a second opinion. I wouldn't recommend schmeidler for anything, it would be a waste of time, money and potentially serious, even deadly issues will most likely go unnoticed.
