Dr. Shrump is a genius and a miracle worker. Two years ago my son was diagnosed with advanced stage for thymoma, a rare cancer of the thymus, and told that there was no chance for him, he was inoperable. My son was told that he might not even see his newly pregnant wife give birth to their new daughter. Through my sons diligent research and the grace of God we were guided to meet this humble yet extraordinary man. His years of training and dedication to his field, Make him an excellent doctor. Yet he is kind and compassionate, very thorough and meticulous in his work. After many rounds of chemo, the tumors that populated my son shrunk a little and this man, the only man in the world, was ready to operate. Because there was no heart bypass machine at N I H, he brought on another expert, looking out for my sons well-being rather than needing to take the lead. Dr Schrump was the person who found a second surgeon at a hospital with the machine we needed for us. Although… he enlisted help, he stayed involved throughout the first surgery. The second surgery was very tricky, and once again this incredible man stepped up where no one else would. Because of him my son no longer has cancer I will forever be in his debt. He takes the time to explain everything in great detail, with much compassion and taking his time to make the whole family comfortable. During the hospital stay, everyone spoke of Dr. Schrump with such high regard. They talked about his attention to detail, he’s insistent on excellence, his brilliance and kindness. This man gave my son his life back and gave me back the most precious thing in my heart, my sweet boy. He truly is my Hero in my sons Savior.
