Dr. David Baldinger Schulman, MD

We were going away for 2 weeks within two days. I developed a terrible puss pimple on my hand just above my finger which was very painful and I was concerned it might be serious since it appeared mysteriously. The nurse got me in the next day with Dr. Shulman. He took one look at it and said, "I'm going to get that out of there." He took a scalpel and I was a bit concerned, but he then proceeded to extract a large splinter from the hand just above my finger which literally went almost through the length of the entire finger. I really don't know how he knew it was a splinter because nothing above the skin line was showing. He showed it to me. After putting on antibiotic ointment, the swelling went away along with the pimple. I didn't remember getting a splinter anywhere and never hinted as such, so I was amazed he could tell that so quickly and deal with it so efficiently. This is my second visit with Dr. Shulman and I'm entirely pleased with his expertise and efficiency. My wife has… also used his AP and we are very pleased with both of them. If I had notified my previous Dermatologist I would have had to wait weeks or months to get an appointment, even for something very serious. Knowing that he will be there when I need him and not just for an annual check up is very comforting. Though this was an unexpected visit, we really didn't have to wait long before being seen. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who needs a doctor who you can count on for unexpected circumstances, and not just for yearly checkups.

Had a 2pm appointment today I showed up @ 145pm. @ 245 still not in to see the dr. and staff said nothing to me about wait time @ 310 pm I left. My time is just as important. At 314 pm Sonja from the office called and wanted to know if I left I told her yes and my time is just as important and its wrong to make patients wait with out informing them. I also told her they need to get there act together as this happened to my wife and daughter 2 yrs ago, Sonja got very dismissive and asked me if I wanted to see the dr. on another day I told her no as it would happen again. He might be a good Dr. but not worth waiting well over an hr.

Dr was 1.5 hours late and they could not tell me when I may be seen. A total waste of time!

I made an appointment here for an excision as I was informed by my previous dermatologist days before moving to Charlotte from Boston that a recently biopsied mole was severely atypical and required surgical removal as soon as possible to ensure it did not progress to melanoma. I arrived on time for a 1:00pm appointment and was not informed of any issues regarding time. At 2:00pm, I asked the receptionist if I would be seen anytime soon, at which point I was told that I was next, but was not given any sort of apology or acknowledgement of my already hour-long wait. Shortly thereafter, I was escorted to a treatment room by a nurse who asked me why I was there that day - clearly indicating that not only were they unaware of and unprepared for my need for an excision, but had not reviewed any of the information sent by my previous dermatologist. I then waited for 25 minutes in the treatment room before deciding that I did not to receive any type of care from a medical office run this… poorly. I got re-dressed, left the treatment room and asked for my money back - which was done with still zero acknowledgement of the unacceptable (over 1 hour 30 minutes) wait time or apology. I have lived and received medical care in many areas across the country, and this was by far the worst excuse for a medical office I have ever experienced.

Horrible. For waitng for a hour plus and 5 minutes of actual time with him was $100. No joke. All he did was say how there was so much wrong with me. And dont get me started on the medication. Over $700. He even gave us a $20 off. Like that helped. I wouldn't recommed him to anyone.

For 8 years I suffered with onycholysis-detached nails. 6 of my 10 nails were painfully detached from the nail bed. Over the years I searched the web and visted 3 doctors at 2 different practices with no remedy. For 8 years everyone had told me there was nothing they could do. I got prescriptions from the 3 other doctors but that didn't help. But Dr. Shulman looked at my nails and simply told me to keep them cut to the quick -, not letting any moisture under the nail at all, and in 3 months I would have nails. I cried in the parking lot! I don't know if he realized the hope he gave me. For 8 years i had these horrible looking and painful nails and he gave me hope for normal functional hands again.I am happy to report that just as he said, 3 months of taking his simple advice and I now have normal, beautiful nails again. Thank you doctor. I had been praying a long time for a cure and God gave it to me through you. I am telling everyone about you and praising God.

Dr. Schulman understands his patients and their conditions. I walked into his office with a problem with acne on my face. I had this condition for almost 10 years, nothing has worked! I spent about 15 minutes with him, and it has been 2 weeks, and not a new pimple! I highly recommend him to anyone! Thanks Dr. Schulman, with your affordable charges, I am able to walk outside confidently!

Dr. Schulman and his staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. He made the exam process a comfortable one and explained the diagnosis well. I was able to get an appointment on a Saturday when I called on Wednesday.

Took my son in for molluscum and doctor checked his moles as weel. I had been delaying my own visit and he let me be seen after my son. I just filled out paperwork and got seen immediately. I was relieved to know my spots were not cancer and the dr gave me a take home set of photos of melanoma to check myself for.

This is one of those rare docs that has all the qualities I wish every doc had. He was very patient with me and all my questions and went out of his way to explain my condition and treatment options. I felt totally at ease discussing everything with him! And best of all - I got great results!
