David Scotton

I only survived two sessions with Mr. Scotton - the second one, just barely. This therapist did not listen to my input, did not stop when I told him how much pain he was causing me in his manipulation, and allowed me zero control over my own treatment. In the last few minutes of my final session, I was crying, trying to get away from him while I was on the table and asking him repeatedly to stop: he brusquely told me he was only doing what "was necessary." I was not permitted to 'work up' to more difficult levels of therapy - he just implemented the level he felt was appropriate for me without asking if it was tolerable. I know what a poor therapist Mr. Scotton because this was my second total knee replacement: I had no such problems with my first knee replacement (a different therapist completely) and my PT the first time around proceeded successfully with acceptable levels of discomfort but never with pain. I wouldn't suggest Mr. Scotton to anyone requiring PT.
