One of the best doctors I have ever been to. My son went from depending on a wheelchair unable to use both of his legs to full remission and high quality of life. RND, RSD, or CRPS is an incredibly challenging condition to treat. To triumph over this abnormal nerve dysfunction you only get out what you put in. Don’t expect successful results until you are willing to do more, be more, and push beyond your current limits. Dr. Sherry is a leader in his field and his unique program has been adapted across the United States by many of the top Hospitals. He understands that the longer you wait to fearlessly treat RND the pain and atrophy will become much worse than it should ever be. As a parent, I truly appreciated this mental shift and understood that favorable results would only be achieved with great fortitude on mine and my son's part. Dr. Sherry empowered my son with kindness and humor that he was not a victim of his condition. Dr. Sherry and his staff were always authentic,… caring, and supportive to my son over his 10 years of treatment. Without Dr. Sherry's and CHOP's dedication and determination, my son would not have the pain free life he enjoys today. Yes, the CHOP program is tough but highly effective, and in our experience not at all psychology damaging. Instead, Dr. Sherry’s program empowered my son to stand strong on his own, advocate for himself, overcome his pain by leveraging his strength both mentally and physically through his own determination. This prompted my son to reevaluate his life and go for experiences he never thought possible and achieve great accomplishments as a person, student, and athlete. Thanks to Dr. Sherry’s program he learned how to stand victorious and restore his vitality and enthusiasm for life. Dr. Sherry is honestly one of the best doctors I have ever been to and from my first-hand experience well respected by his peers. He makes his patient the main focus and genuinely cares and holds a deep level of compassion for each one. I can honestly say without him and CHOP my son wouldn't be able to function as successfully as he does today in all areas of his life.

I went through his program twice and I came out with more problems than I went in with. I was abused by him and his staff to the point that I have severe PTSD. If you weren't responding to treatment, it was always the patient's fault and there was something the patient was doing wrong. He treats his patients in ways that leave scars and more damage than they went in with. Not only physically, but mentally as well. His program is a scam and only helps a minute percentage of people. Out of both times, I don't know a single person that it cured/helped. I would never send my worst enemy to him knowing the harm and pain he caused. He destroyed my life and this program is just waiting for a malpractice lawsuit.

Bottom line - Have you every heard of a treatment facility that bans parents simply from seeing what's going on with their children? Kids come home with PTSD from the way they are treated. Dr Sherrys program is a lawsuit waiting to happen. That being said I do think there is something to the program and its ability to help kids - I just would NEVER recommend Dr Sherry or CHOP for treatment -

I was a severely sick child of about 11-12ish at Seattle's Children hospital after a transfer from Marybridge. My mom heard great things and thought he being a rheumatologist could help. I'll note my AnA was extremely high and had blue ringed lesions amoung other horrific issues. This mattered nothing to him simply diagnosing me with RnD. My mom then asked about my screaming bloodwork and rashes if this was really "All in my head/a malfunction in the brain" but refused to work with either of my patents and their concerns. On note away from parent's eyes since bo parents were allowed to go back into the theepy room- and for good reason. While I cannot speak for eveeyone at every place he's been it was cruel. I was shouted at like a recruit from a drill sergeant whenever my body collapsed. Had hands physically yank mine off rails for support when being yelled at to get up. Was refused any drinking water and later was told by my mother how she overheard another doctor cursing him out… avout the treatment which thankfully made her decide to get me out of the program and be seen by another rheumatologist who quickly diagnosed me with Lupus and not long after I had began recovering. I still have permanent damage to some parts of my body and know without a doubt I would've died under Dr. Sherry's care. I am glad to those with true RnD on these reviews he has helped, but unfortunately I URGE parents to listen to their kids and do research if it isn't matching up. I fear how many other kids might suffer or die from his care due to his inability to look beyond RnD. Despite obvious signs screaming otherwise. So please be careful if you do vo to him- although I highly recommend you do not.

It is very difficult to believe CHOP is harboring this doctor and his AMPS clinic. We are both statisticians. A review of his scientific research reveals a sham of a scientific career. Review of his publications suggests that thousands of patients have been harmed. The small number of voices represented here speak for many. I expect within a decade CHOP will go down in scandal for medical abuse against his patients.

When Dr. Sherry sees a patient with an unexplained condition, he doesn't recognize that he doesn't know what it is or that he can't fix it. Instead, he slaps the diagnosis of AMPS on their forehead and commences with a torturous "treatment plan." When this doesn't work, he blames it on the patient. When the patient starts exhibiting other symptoms, he dismisses them as conversion symptoms and tells the patient to go to therapy. (For those who aren't aware, conversion disorder is the modern term for hysteria.) I never want to see this doctor again. He's ruined my life.

Dr. Sherry is the best doctor I have ever been to. He makes his patient the main focus and he genuinely cares for each one. He has worked with me and my condition for a little over 10 years now and I can honestly say without him and CHOP I wouldn't be able to function as successfully as I do today.

When I was sent to Dr. Sherry’s AMPS program, I was prepared to put all of my effort into getting better. I read his studies and thought the odds were in my favor. However, of the five other patients who were with me in the program, only one has fully recovered. One was misdiagnosed, and the rest of us just haven’t recovered. It’s a shame. Dr. Sherry clearly cares about his patients, but he just doesn’t seem to know what’s right for them.
