Wonderful Surgeon! Quick and to the point and doesn't sugar coat your problem. He's truthful and tells it like it is.

My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed. Right after the surgery, the Dr. Smeltzer said he had to go deeper than expected and that my daughter may be in pain. While in recovery, she awoke in a lot of pain. At first, the nurse tried to down play it and say that many kids wake up emotional. But my daughter was crying and then saying that she was in pain, even through the anesthesia fog. The nurse said she'd tell the doctor but he with another patient and no one else in the office was authorized to help my daughter. Once he finally arrived, he numbed one of her sides, again. I asked if he could re-numb the other side too, because of her pain. He was snippy and said, "Of course, she's in pain." Then, walked away. My daughter began to cry more and said the other side hurt, too. I asked to speak to the doctor, again, but was told that he had left to go to the hospital. It had been less than five minutes. Dr. Smeltzer was dismissive and inconsiderate. I know he may do many of… these procedures daily, and may have grown callous to the patient's pain, but his behavior today was unacceptable. I'd advise people to go to another practice for oral surgery.
