Dr. David William Smith, MD

Dr. David W. Smith attended to my husband in the ER. He was EXTREMELY RUDE and refused to put ANY credit to what I said was wrong with my husband. He said I did not know what I was talking about and that my husband's wound was a simple abrasion. I told him it WAS NOT an ABRASION I insisted it was the start of gangrene from inside not a wound on the outside. He argued with me and told me he would not tolerate my opinion. I INSISTED his wound was coming from inside his body and that it was the start of gangrene. He told me off and shut me down NUMEROUS times as I argued about his INCORRECT diagnosis. He had me in complete tears numerous times and told me I was obsessed! He said my husband was in no need for intervention as I was insisting. He finally decided after I continued to argue and plead my case to contact my husbands surgeon. The surgeon said to admit him to the hospital immediately! The next day he had the procedure to open his arteries. It was discovered that his leg arteries… were ALL blocked! 50 to 100 percent and he had VERY little bloodflow to his foot and the wound was NOT an abrasion but in fact was a Vascular Ulcer as I was insisting and the start of gangrene! He could have cost my husband an AMPUTATION had I not argued constantly that he was wrong and refused to accept his diagnosis! On top of tha, his scribe put completely incorrect description of MY statement of the wound and it's history and even said my husband abused alcohol! He DOES NOT DRINK and has not drank!
