Dr. David James Smith, MD

Dr David Smith is a Dangerous Doctor He treats pain and fills pumps but when he’s in the room with a patient he’s always some where else It’s like he’s never there at the moment His Brain in somewhere else very bad he’s always trying to get a plane at surgery are just somewhere else SAD I thought he would be a good Doctor but he’s not !!!!

I, asked a staff member to get my old medical records from the archives, she refused even when I, told her I , needed the records for a disability claim I, filed with the VA for a service connected disability. The VA , has also requested the records twice, with no success. My guess is that without this records from 2007 to 2014, My claim will be denied . She didn’t seem to care.

This Doctor is trying to help everyone that comes his way He never wants to see people in pain and everyone know there a lot of people in the USA in pain so Bear with him If your his Patient he will give you all of him in the room but he is very busy right now and tomorrow God Bless you all

Doctor Smith is going around putting in pain pumps with a man name Scottie I don’t thank he has a License to practice Him and Smith are putting in temporary pain pumps in the back room of Dr offices. And now there working in a Dr office and new surgery center in Las Vegas NV and Scottie and Dr Smith need to be looked at By a medical board they They go to a surgery center and start around 8 comes to the Dr office he’s looking all around 2 hours late then he has 2 Patient waiting so again a back room temp pump and another hour I’m now in a room he say wow that took long well. I’m not a Dr but I’m sure his day was planned to be a rush job !!!! Not good nor is it safe He is a liar a rush no safety There are a lot of Doctor around these states ...Fine one that will take the time to do his or her Job

This Doctor ?? is all over the place !!! He’s always preoccupied as in no time at all to focus on one patient !! Which is very dangerous and very serious He say one thing and he lies a lot to his Patient but the nurses to run him He’s now putting pain pumps in people and leaves town and they are forced to suffer and look for a new Doctor This is a very bad Practice for a doctor yet but your time is not valuable it’s not very good He Talks a good game but it’s He’s not very good At All use at your own risk !!!!!! Be your own Doctor it’s your body your safety!!!!

It is so sad to have a doctor and never see him or her it is also sad to be disrespected by his or her staff I had to wait two months to get in to see a p.a never seen the doctor he never did any x Ray or MRIs and then when he gets them he lets me go he would rather be taking trips then to be taking care of his patients out off the three pain management doctors that I have been to he is by far the worst I would never refer anyone to him that's how bad he is and on top of all that the pharmacies don't even want to take his prescriptions sad it is and then you have the d.e.a that you have to deal with because of all the fraudulent things that go on in is office it's to much if I must say so myself

His staff is horrible, but I could look past this if Dr. Smith had been better. When this Dr. arrived (a full 1/2 hour after I was prepped and on my stomach ready for a back injection), in the procedure room to give me an injection, he never addressed me with even a simple "hello", just spoke to the nurse and the tech who helped him locate the disc I had injected. This Dr. had no empathy for my pain. He ignored me when I asked for pain medication after an injection and left the room.

This review is not based on Dr. Smith. I never got a chance to have an appointment with him. Thanks to his office staff, it never got that far. Also of note, I have worked in the medical field for 22 years, so I understand how the process works. I have been trying to make a new patient appointment for a week now. I have left several messages for Gaby, at least once a day. I did receive one call back on my cell phone, when I had been leaving my work number as the preferred contact. I returned that call within 30 minutes. No luck. Whenever I do talk to someone, I still end up getting transferred to Gaby. Today, I finally talked to someone again. I said that I was calling to make an appointment. Staff member said "ok, what's his name?" - really? I said, "I am the patient (and gave my name and date of birth)". The very next question was "well, we need a referral before making an appointment." Yeah, I know. I have the referral and auth. She then transferred me (probably to Gaby again?).… I was on hold for 17 minutes. (I was doing other things, so I could put it on speaker phone and wait) I hung up and called them again. I spoke to the same staff member hoping that I could get someone right away and she transferred me to Gabys voice mail again. I did not leave a message this time. No point. I called my insurance and asked for my referral to be redirected to any one else. I called my primary doctor and let them know what I did. I tried to give the courtesy of letting Dr. Smith's office know what I did and I got the same rude staff member who kept cutting me off.... I cannot deal with an office that is this incompetent.

If the first rule of medicine is to do no harm...then why would he make a patient with spinal cord MS sit in the waiting room in an uncomfortable, hard chair for four and half hours waiting to see him? This has caused severe pain that will take days to recover from. This has nothing to do with medicine as another ignorant rater stated...rather a doctor following ethical behavior and not causing negligent pain.
