Dr. David S Snyder, DDS

Dr. David Snyder graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and went on to do a general practice residency in Montclair, New Jersey at Mountainside Hospital. Dr. Snyder continued his training with a two-year fellowship in implant dentistry at Orange Memorial Hospital in Orange, New Jersey where he received intensive training in the placement, restoration and maintenance of dental implants. This training allows Dr. Snyder to not only restore implants, as most other dentists can, but he can place the implants as well, so you have "one stop" shopping for dental implants. Dr. Snyder is a third generation dentist, his father and both of his grandfathers were dentists.
Dr. Snyder is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, which requires completion of a minimum of 500 hours of continuing dental education credit hours and passing a comprehensive written exam. He is also an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. This credential with AAID …requires a written examination as well as documented cases of implant dental work performed in practice.
In addition, Dr. Snyder has spent over 100 hours of continuing education on the study of occlusion (the way your bite fits together) at the prestigious Dawson Center for the Advancement of Dentistry in St. Petersburg, Florida.
After practicing for seven years in West Orange, New Jersey, Dr. Snyder opened Lowcountry Dental Center in 1999 to serve the lowcountry. When he is not seeing patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking and outdoor activities.
