Dr. David C Sobel, MD

extremely thorough, easy to talk to and I've been a patient for many years. In 2019 I had heart surgery based upon Dr Sobel checking out a slight murmur during my physical in the beginning of 2018. This eventually led to the surgery 18 months later and prevented a possible heart attack. In Nov 2020 he had me go to emergency room for an eyelid closing issue which turned out to be myasthenia glavis...can't say enough about Dr David Sobel

Ever since they got bought out by Meridien Health, it's impossible to make an appointment with Dr. Sobel. Dr Sobel is great! I can't stress that enough, but it takes 3-4 week to get an appointment with him, whereas before they merged with Meridien it would take 1 week tops. Most of the old office staff and nurses aren't there or are rarely there anymore. If you talk to anyone other than the Practice Manager about referrals you will just go in a cyclical argument because they think they know what they're talking about but they don't because they cut you off before you can finish your question/statement and give you the wrong answers or answers irrelevant to the question you want to ask but can't ask because they talk over you. Only talk to the Practice Manager about referrals and paperwork otherwise the woman who answers the phone will be rude and mean to you. I'm already stressed about being sick and calling them makes things so much worse. I have a chronic illness but end up seeing… the urgent care staff more than Dr. Sobel, unfortunately.

He has been our PMD for almost 4yrs now and i would say he is a very nice doctor. Intimidating at first because he talks very fast but takes time to check on you and explains it well (just make sure you ask him to repeat it in case he goes very fast in explaining) but overall a caring doctor. Knows his field.
