It appears that he doesn't read his reviews, because he hasn't changed a bit! Still cold and indifferent, and extremely rude. Why is he a doctor?

He only looks at his computer....no eye contact. Doesn't care about his patients. It's just "move 'em in, move 'em out". Cut me off medication I had been taking for years. As a result, I ended up in a deep depression. He doesn't listen when you want to talk about a problem, and always refers me to other doctors. He is rude, and acts like he's doing me a favor by just being there! I've come home in tears after seeing him. Why is he a doctor if he dislikes people so much? He should watch the movie, The Doctor", with William Hurt. Maybe he could learn something from it!!! I am my changing Primary Care to someone who wants to help people. Disgusted in Naples

Like a robot. Doesn't listen to you. Feel rushed and just move on to next appointment. Would never recommend.

Dr. Sommerfeld is my elderly mother's primary care doctor. I asked him a question about her condition and his reply didn't answer my question, so I asked again. He shot me a look and replied in a clipped tone that he'd already replied. He seemed to resent questions and rushed us out.

He is rude beyond comprehension. He doesn't even pretend to be nice or interested in me as a patient.

Most memorable is that he looks at his computer, rarely looks at patients, attempts to have seasonal resident switch their primary care to him. He tries to chance routine or attempts to do so without reviewing laboratory results. Lastly he wore gloves when he examined me, including using a stethoscope to listen to chect sounds.

I found him to be very unprofessional. Very rude & has no bedside manner. Would definitely not recommend him .

OK and probably mostly competent. I am former attorney from NY and have no problems. He has no personality or empathy but he is on time and reasonably thorough. If I had real problems would not go to him but would get on plane to NYC. He is no worse than other doctors here and most are just employees of management.

Spends more time looking at computer than talking with his patient. I don't believe he is a very caring physician and leaves too many gaps in care.
