Excellent doctor

I've been a patient of Dr. Spalding's since 2015. He's never failed to correctly diagnose my bursitis or arthritis and has promptly treated both with methods that left me pain free and ambulatory. He's so good that I was able to get my mother-in-law in to see him quickly when she was having hip and knee problems. Now she has been pain free for over a year and continues to sing his praises. We can't say enough good about Dr. Spalding and his office staff!

I was referred to Dr Spalding by my prior physician to review my situation and to provide a second opinion. He was very focused on my issue, ran a series of blood tests and provided his diagnosis and treatment plan. My prior physician had spent 18 months trying to provide a diagnosis and never was able to provide a successful treatment plan. Within one week I was feeling 100% better and had been prescribed a drug that works well managing my issues. I have recommended Dr Spalding to several people who have been successfully treated by him.

Dr Spalding was able to diagnose my problems when other physicians were at a loss. What a relief to have answers after years of being told that my problems were all in my head.

I am in more pain now then I was before I saw him. Nurse didn't want to talk to me so she hung up on me. Don't go here.

One of the best doctors I've been to in years! Took plenty of time to discuss problems, took ample notes, and asked questions. After trying for two years to get help from other doctors, I finally found one who seemed sincere in trying to help and I feel confident he will. Ordered appropriate tests and x-rays. Some others have stated that they were rushed, I certainly did not have that experience. He spent nearly an hour with me. I am thankful I found Dr. Spalding!

I was referred to Dr spaulding by another Dr. at The Watson clinic in Lakeland Fl in 1991. He listened to my story, did some manual tests for strength, range of motion, pain,ect. the diagnosised me with fibromyalgia, bursitis and tendonitis. With oral medication, stretching exercises, massage, and periodic injections, i felt 75% better in the first 6 months..and continued to improve with treatment and time. Trom the oral medication, massage, and stretching , I felt 50% better in the first 2 weeks. My fibromyalgia was under control and the bursiitis and tendonitis completely cleared up within a year of periodic injectons.I had the occassional flair ups about once every 2-3 years (usually following the birth of a child)....he gave me another injection and all was well again. 16 years after our first meeting I had a flair up and found he had moved From Lakeland, to Melbourne, Florida. It was worth the drive to see a professional doctor I could trust, and especially for a doctor whose… injections did not cause me much pain, just brief, minor discomfort. It has been over 20 years now, and I thank God for Dr Spaulding. He has over 30 years experience. Trust his judgement, follow his plan to the "T", and you too will experience success.

I made an appointment with Dr. Spalding to discuss my arthritis. Instead, he performed an inaccurate manual muscle testing of my legs and arms and determined that I had bicipital tendinitis in my right shoulder. I have no pain in my shoulder. I explained that exercises would help if indeed I have bicipital tendinitis. He was very pushy about getting depomederol injected into my shoulder. I told him I was hesitant (no pain, validity of his examination skills, and it is always better to start conservatively with exercises, risks of the shot (which he did not mention when I asked him about it)). I am a physical therapist and explained my hesitancy and wanting to do more research. As I sat there, he rose from the chair, stated I was getting the injection and left the room. I began shaking (angered that he did not listen to me and his forcefulness for a treatment I was not comfortable with). I quickly changed and told him I was not getting the injection. He told me I was making a mistake.… However, I am so thankful that I listened to my gut and did not get pushed around by this incompetent physician.

Dr. Spalding is the worst doctor I have ever come in contact with. Dr. Spalding didn't review any of my prior blood work or suggest any test of his own. He did ask a lot of questions but he didn't listen to any of my answers. He moved my legs and arms around and quickly determined I had tendonitis in my shoulders and bursitis in my hips. I would need to have 3 to 4 cortisone shots and I would feel better. I tried to tell him I couldn't see that diagnoses being possible considering I was having no pain in my hips or shoulders. I have numbing and burning sensations in my legs and feet. The shots were so painful I had to walk with the assistance of a cane for 3 days. I still have the same problem. After reading other reviews I see he has made a habit of giving a lot of his patients the same diagnoses. I could not get him to take me serious. I waited 3 months for this appointment.
