Dr. Spencer is my Bariatric Surgeon. He and his staff provided top notch care to me prior to surgery, during my hospitalization and follow-up care. He is a very caring person, but is honest with you and tells you like it is (no sugar coating it). I would highly recommend Dr. Spencer and his office to all.

He does not have very good bedside manners. He doesn't take what you say seriously, and is very egotistical and condescending. When I explained my problems, he blew it off and said I was being paranoid about a lump in my stomach and pain from a previous hernia. However, I trusted him since he was the "doctor," and he performed a hernia surgery on me. The day of the surgery, he was very condescending to the nurses that were assisting him. My wife and I actually felt bad with how he spoke to them. The surgery did go smoothly, however, he was unable to explain to me why I still had a knot in my stomach when he cut through the skin (which is still there). I would not recommend him to friends or family.
