He was fantastic. The only pain management specialist that actually listened to me, here in Milwaukee, and read my medical records. First pain management in this state that wasn't demeaning or belittling.

My wife has been addicted to opioids for many years due to numerous knee replacement surgeries. We finally got her off, and the majority of the doctors in the area related to pain management know this. But now she has found Dr. Stein, seeing him off of insurance to stay hidden, and he gladly subscribes opioids to her. It is a tragedy but come spring I am walking away after 30 years of marriage.

I went in for an initial visit, to discuss pain treatments for my back. I have had 9 spine surgeries, and I can't seem to find a doctor who cares to listen to me. They are all bogged down by restrictions of their employers ( most are from the big 2 hospitals/healthcare systems in our area). Dr Stien left me amazed. He talked with me, not to me, for almost 40 minutes. He thoroughly went through my 2 decade history of lumbar fusions, s1 to L1, as well as a cervical fusion. He then went on to explain the options I have, medicines available to me, and all of the latest restrictions, as well as the dangers of opiates (which I was NOT seeking). I really felt good after this 1st visit, and I will make a followup comment after seeing him for a few more appointments. Both he, and his wife/nurse were professional and courteous to me. Fingers crossed he can help!

You and your ignorant disrespectful c#$& of a wife should be shut down

Never did I think I had a problem because I was seeing a doctor my insurance approved. But 120 oxycodone 30mgs a month for 2 years was overkill. And you get your prescription to pick up before your drug test!!! So if your out and have none in your system your safe. Or you can stop and get fake pee and add to it if you sell them. They dont care as long as they can give you injections you dont need and charge your insurance and take your copays. I'm still recovering from all this happening and those injections I didnt need now cause pain. And guess what I will never take again in my life. It's not worth it guys.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Stein for over a year now, and I hope to be for many years to come! He has me on a great treatment plan that has helped me deal with my pain for my back. (I’ve had bad back pain for going on 20 years now) Dr Stein and his staff have been very kind and attentive to my personal needs. I definitely give him 5 stars. Jessica Heilman

I have been with Dr Stein for over a year,I actually thought he was a cut above the other pill pushers out there until I had to cancel an appointment due to a funeral. The day before my appointment I was told I had to pay a 50 dollar fine then when I went to my appointment I was cut back on my meds because they found pot in my urine. I was then told I had to go to take another urine test that cost me 120 out of pocket.Sience no insurance will cover Dr Stein Im out of pocket 150 plus the 50 dollar fine for going to my uncles funeral times two.I have been in pain management for ten years any doctor will give you one warning about something as minor as pot PLEASE THIS WAS A SHAKEDOWN!!!!!!!! To take advantage of someone while they are suffering over the loss of a loved one and to then charge me for a second visit FULL PRICE is heartless and I will go to another doctor one that takes Insurance unfortunately I just moved to Milwaukee at the time and he was recommended to me by my… neighibor she just drove up to see him from Carolina they collected her money first then discharged her because she was no longer a full time resident. It's is beyond my comprehension to hear that man is still practicing medicine. Who is watching this Doctor.
