Dr. David Hunt Stockwell, MD

Doctor Stockwell performed an endoscope procedure on me where he perforated my duodenum and nearly killed me. It is understood that on a rare occasion this can happen. I had to take my digestive system “off line” and be feed nutrients through infusion more many months from a backpack through a pic line in my armpit. The total bill was over $200k and my out of pocket cost was $7,500 of which Doctor Stockwell never helped with. Yes, a rare accident can happen but a truly good man would have done something. Move on, you can find better.

My father and I received a call from Dr. Stockwell to discuss the care needed for our loved one. We thoroughly reviewed options and came to the same agreement about care. Few specialist take the time to listen. Fewer specialist take the time to vette options like Dr. Stockwell. We appreciate his approach. We are very comfortable with the agreed upon path.

Dr. Stockwell is an excellent Gastroenterologist. By far the best I have seen. He is very kind, humble and extremely thorough. I highly recommend him. His staff is also great, very friendly and helpful.

I had delayed getting a screening colonoscopy for several years, due to never having had any sort of invasive procedure and to abuse of my digestive system as a young adult. The kind woman who schedules appointments sensed my anxiety and told me she wanted to put me with Dr. Stockwell because of his bedside manner and extensive research. I knew when I met him that I had the best gastroenterologist for me. I had dreaded this procedure for years. Dr. Stockwell took the time to listen to me and to educate me about the procedure, including the anesthesia. The whole team was great, the procedure was smooth (he has performed over 10,000 colonoscopies), and the anesthesia-induced sleep was pretty sweet! I don't know that I will be drinking Gatorade anytime soon (part of the prep)! I am so very grateful for Dr. Stockwell, a truly excellent and caring doctor.

Dr. Stockwell is outstanding. He diagnosed me with limited information and got me early treatment for my cancer. He is the best.
