Dr. David Edward Strom, MD

Dr. Strom caused major complications for me from a surgery he performed. I’m disabled from my injuries. He would not listen to me when I tried talking with him. As time went by the more complications continued. I had to find my way for help as I felt like I been thrown in the trash like I was not important. For one wrong surgery by him number two malpositined hardware in places they didn’t belong number 3 nerve damage number 4 injury to pelvis. Now I live in a chronic pain crippling world. I’ve had four surgeries to try and correct dr David storms mistakes I’ll never be the person I was. Bad part I hold all documentation of proof where in fact dr strom surgery disabled me but state of North Carolina medical board thinks aawww this is ok blah blah blah but I’m long from being finished for my rights. So take my story in consideration before deciding to make a surgeon relationship with dr David strom. Bad part of this. Dr. Strom knows exactly about this situation.

I went to Dr. Strom for pain in my leg and foot. I tried to tell him where the pain was and he said "That doesn't help me". I found him to be more than just straight forward. He was rude and spent less than 5 min with me. His answer was to give me a cortisone shot and come back in a few weeks. Our appt. time was changed on our second visit and we had to wait an hour and again he talked to me for about 5 minutes. He said he did not know what to do and didn't give me options. So I made an appt with a Dr. in Sanford. He spent 40 minutes talking to me. I told him my symptoms and he knew exactly what was wrong and in less than 2 months I was walking pain free again with no meds, surgery or cortisone shot. I would not go to Dr. Strom again. He doesn't listen and is in too big of a hurry to actually care. I saw him twice and even my daughter couldn't believe how little time he spent with me (less than 5 min).

Very BAD bedside manner and I was a new patient. Short smart answers. Never touched my extremity. Never showed X-rays. No referrals from me. I have nothing good to say. He was dead wron on diagnosis. Said I could never walk barefooted or dance. I came home did a little web search.. Took Aleve 7 days and soaked in cold water. I can dance, walk and play basketball. He is not a compassionate health care provider. And that is all I am going to say and that is as NICE as I can say.

Over all Dr. Strom is a very good Doctor.

I would recommend Dr. Strom to anyone. He knows his stuff and is an excellent Dr. I have nothing but total respect for him. He is all business, but that was exactly what I was looking for in a Dr. who is doing reconstructive surgery on my feet. I don't need him to be my friend, just the best at what he does and I certainly got that in Dr. Strom. Absolutely a great Doctor.
