I was able to get an apt to see Dr. Stroman fairly quick and one that was convenient for me. If it wasn't for the time lag of my insurance company to get my procedure approved, I would have been able to have it done in a matter of a few weeks. I loved that the EVLT procedure could be done in the office with hardly any downtime. Just some rest the day of the procedure. The soreness the day after is noticeable but it's not unbearable. Dr. Stroman explained things well as he was doing them except for one moment when he had to inject a little more numbing medicine and I wasn't expecting it, but it wasn't unbearably painful. In fact, the whole procedure was relatively pain free. The only part that I could feel was the injection of the numbing medicine. He prepared me well for what I could experience, pain wise, after the procedure because my veins were so close to the skin surface but overall the day after is not that bad. Maybe I have a high pain tolerance but the pain so far is just a… little bit of soreness. Now I'm not saying I could go out and run a marathon but I wish I had done this a long time ago. I've already noticed results in the size of my leg vein and can't wait to see what it looks like after a couple of weeks of healing. Dr. Stroman has a great bedside manner. I found him to be nice, friendly and explained things well. I developed an immediate trust. His office staff is also friendly. The only thing I could say that needs improvement is with promptness, however, I recognize that when you are doing procedures in the office they may not be completed in a "standard" time frame as everyone is different. The wait time in the lobby is not as bad as some other doctors I've seen but there really isn't anything else I could be critical of.
