Dr. David William Suholet, MD

I was trying to help my adult child who lives at home with her anti-depressant medication. Since my daughter has a cognitive learning disability and is on my husband's insurance as a dependent, I made the appointments & asked to come in with her to our last one to explain and ask that he reassess her medication since she was sleeping too much & showing signs of isolation. Sulholet patted me on the head, sent me out of the room, my daughter was with him less that 5 minutes & she emerged with a prescription for the same medication. 3 weeks later my daughter had a breakdown & attempted suicide by overdosing on her anti-depressants! I phoned Dr. Sulholet to tell him what happened, he never called back. She is now getting help at a psychiatric rehab facility, and they have her on new medication which she says makes her feel like a new person. This guy is running a pill mill, he has a blanket cure for everything, cares nothing about the individuals. Stay away, as far away as you can from… this guy!!!

Dr Suholet has been great. I have been seeing him for years and even moving 1hr away will still continue to drive to see him.

My last visit with this guy, I explained to him I had stopped taking the medication prescribed Because of the terrible side effects that included shaking hands and contortion of my facial features. He actively did not care and told me that He was still going to prescribe me the medication - even though I had described in detail what happened to me when I took it. He told me it was my choice to take it but he would write me a prescription anyway, even though I made it clear this medication is toxic to my functioning he said since I decided not to take it he was still going to prescribe it... I asked him, can you just not write a prescription for it? No he said, I think you ought to keep taking it. Last time I go see him.

All the negative comments are spot on. Cold, condescending, uncaring, doesn't take any time with you, you can tell he is not even listening, could care less about your health, made me feel as if I was wasting his time, wrote wrong script, I barely sat down before the session was over. This guy could care less about you!

This was my first time visiting a psychiatrist and I can assure you it made a big difference in my life. He is an excellent doctor and treats you with respect and professionalism. I felt like he had all the time that I needed for me.

Dr. Suholet is rude and cold. He lacks empathy, and gives sarcastic remarks to my pressing problems. For example, I told him about my medication's side effects and he said there is nothing he can do about it and smirked. He doesn't think outside the box, and literally said he "flipped a coin" to decide which medicine to prescribe me. I've been seeing him for over a year out of convenience, but am switching to a different doctor.

I saw Dr. Suholet over a period of years. He accepted my insurance and was conveniently located. But he is cold and unconcerned. He would ask me how I'd been and then his eyes would glaze over. The last 2 times I saw him he wrote my prescriptions incorrectly, the first time adding a prescription without telling me, the second failing to put refills on my prescriptions. He is incompetent. When my pharmacy contacted him to correct his oversight, he refused to correct his mistake. Instead he demanded that I present myself to his office, copay in hand. I haven't seen him since. He is cold and callous, a bad fit for medicine but an awful fit for psychiatry. Should have been an orthopedist.

My brother went to Dr. Suholet for depression about 7 years ago. Dr. S. diagnosed him as bipolar, which he gave him meds for. My brother became visibly manic for the next 6 years. He made bad decisions, lost his job and got divorced during the time he was under Dr. S. care. We contacted Dr. S. and even met with him and my brother to change his meds because he never had shown any mania in his life until he was given meds by Dr. S. But Dr. S. didn't change his meds and my brother became worse and worse until he crashed and was in crisis. Dr. S. refused to see my brother in crisis, which was a blessing in disguise. So we admitted my brother to the best and only great psych hospital in Georgia, Ridgeview. It was at Ridgeview that my brother got a great psychiatrist and got on the proper meds. Dr. S. is truly a dangerous doctor and should not be involved with people with psychiatric conditions. I am also contacting the Geogia Medical Board to file a complaint about Dr. S.

Extremely rude.

My son has depression so we went to see this doctor. He was rude, condescending, and at time appeared annoyed, like we were wasting his time. He didn't talk to my son just wrote out a script. And when we asked questions about the medications, he literally stood and opened the door and invited us to leave. We didn't even get 10 minutes of his time. Flee from this man. Couldn't and wouldn't recommend him.
