This review is a little over 4 months overdue! Dr. D Swastek made such an impression on me that not even my baby brain could make me forget what a wonderful experience I had with him! In the height of Covid delivering my first child I was nervous among other emotions and Dr. Swastek made me feel like I was on cloud 9. We talked as if we've known each other for years. The conversation being light, positive, upbeat, reassuring and understanding. My deliver wasn't easy and I was looking forward to my epidural even though it was midnight and induced labor for over 24-hours. Dr. Swastek made me laugh and with clear, easy instructions reassured me everything was going to be alright. He took extra precautions and listened to my concerns. He made my birthing experience a pleasant one, St. Joe's is lucky to have him as was I! I can only hope our paths cross again and that I am blessed to have another healthy baby. Thank you so much Dr. Swastek, I will never forget you and your hospitality!

What a phenomenal anesthesia experience on labor and delivery for the birth of my daughter! Dr. Swastek was extremely professional, friendly and very quick at placing my epidural at a time where I was desperate for pain relief. I was told that he was the very best and I wasn't disappointed. He has an excellent bedside manner and explained everything that he was doing. Dr. Swastek made me very comfortable and injected a little humor at appropriate times to help me relax. He checked on me several times to make sure I was getting good pain relief. Wonderful anesthesiologist!

Been working in the medical field for over 40 years. Have met many good physicians. Yesterday I was priveledge to have Dr. Swastek for my anesthesiologist for a procedure. He was terrific with communications, answering questions and putting me, the patient, and my responsible party at ease. He should be highest rated physician. Thank you and to your team!

I was thrilled to be able to have Dr. Swastek as my Anesthesiologist for the second time. He was there for both of my c-sections. He thoroughly explained the epidural process and walked me through step by step. He was very reassuring and comforting. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor! I highly recommend him. I highly recommend Dr. Swastek. He has a calming and professional presence. He made me comfortable for my procedure and made sure all of my questions were answered. He has a great bedside manner and the medical world needs more like him.

My 17 year old daughter had an ACL repair yesterday. Dr. Swastek was her anesthesiologist. She has a bit of "white coat phobia" from previous experiences and was very nervous about receiving a nerve block. Dr. Swastek was amazing with her and put her (and her dad and I) at ease immediately. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciated the time he took with her just talking about the procedure and what to expect. He made sure that she was comfortable and at ease and as a parent, that meant the world to me. Dr. Swastek's bedside manner is remarkable. Would highly recommend him again and again.

Dr. Swastek went above and beyond to ensure that my epidural was administered quickly and properly. He was attentive and precise. I am so grateful for his care!

He may be good at placing epidurals but he has an awful bedside manner and will totally disregard what you feel as a patient.

Dr. Swastek thoroughly explained each step of the epidural process. From the time he was paged until the time he had completed the procedure was about 15 minutes - remarkable. I was so pleased with his epidural. He even followed up on the unit the following morning. Wonderful experience!
