Dr. David Benjamin Talmadge, MD

I had a deeply troubling experience with this doctor. At 24 years old, he diagnosed me with a severe condition and told me I needed to begin dialysis or I would not live long. I was devastated. Thankfully, I sought a second opinion and learned that the diagnosis was completely inaccurate—I did not need dialysis at all. His misdiagnosis could have caused irreversible harm had I followed through with his advice. Even more concerning, during a physical exam (with two medical students present, which I had consented to), he touched me inappropriately. While I was undressed and on the exam table, he inserted his finger between my buttocks without warning, explanation, or medical necessity—and laughed afterward. At the time I was too shocked to fully process it, but now I understand how completely unacceptable and unprofessional this was. In my opinion, this doctor should not be practicing. I hope others are spared from similar experiences. Please always seek second opinions and trust your… instincts.

He is really interested in finding and treating the problem.
