Dr. David A Tecosky

Meet Dr. David A. Tecosky DMD
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Cheltenham Township, Dr. Tecosky studied at the University of Miami where he received a BS in chemistry in 1975 and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1979. He opened his office in Fairmount in June of 1981 and moved to the present location on Brown Street in 1986.
Dr. Tecosky received his Master in the Academy of General Dentistry in August 2001 and is a member in good standing of the Philadelphia County Dental Society, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He just finished his presidency of the Philadelphia County Dental Society (PCDS)  and is still serving on the Board of Governors. He is the current chairperson of the PDA Committee on Communications and Public Relations. He served as President of the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry in 1996. He has also served on the Public Information Council of …the Academy of General Dentistry and was chairman of the Council from 2000 to 2003. He is currently serving on the Academy of General dentistry Annual Meeting Committee, and will be the Local Arrangements Chairperson for the Academy's 2012 meeting in Philadelphia He is active in his Synagogue and serves the community in the Sunrisers Rotary Club of Northeast Philadelphia, where he served as the President for 2003-2004.
His wife Barbara is a Registered Nurse in the Temple University Health Care System, and they have two daughters, Meryl, a  buyer for women's apparel at Boscovs, and Sandra, a graduate student at Widener University in Clinical Psychology. And of course his baby, Coco, a lovely affectionate Bichon Frise puppy dog. When he has free time (rare!) he enjoys Ceramics, golf, painting and writing, and traveling to visit his family in the south.
