The exact thing happened to me with this doctor as the other review. I have a rare esophageal disease that mimics heart attack like pain that has brought me to the ER multiple times this year. He looked at me in the triage room and sent me away. The other ER docs and nurses at BI Needham have been amazing. It was an abnormally busy day at this location and the nurse literally said: we can no longer help you. I went straight to Beth Israel downtown and was admitted that night. Patients know their bodies and have to constantly advocate for themselves. We go to the hospital for help and when you're dismissed in this way...it's very upsetting. It's also wild how differently you can be treated depending on the doctor that you get.

Upset. 77 years old. Female. Went in to Needham Beth Israel Hospital with chest pains. Dr. Templ ruled out heart issues after a cardiogram and X-ray. He ASSUMED that it was gastro related without further testing. I was sent home without any instructions and still having chest pains. He talked to me for less than 5 minutes while I was in the ER. After that I didn’t see him again. But I was still having chest pains when I left if the diagnosis was gastrointestinal issue, he did not convey it to me. NOTHING was explained. Although an IV port was inserted, no I’ve was set up in case I was dehydrated. My medication wasn’t reviewed. . If in fact it is gastrointestinal issue, Instead of talking to me about a prescription to resolve the issue or over the counter medication, I was allowed to leave without ANY instructions. Was told to contact my primary care doctor. I consider this negligence. Borderline malpractice. Unbelievable.
