An understanding and caring physician. Having worked in hospitals almost my entire adult life I'm picky about my doctors. Dr. Thompson is the best!

I have worked in hospitals my entire adult life so am pretty picky about the doctors I use. Dr. Thompson gets five stars from me. He's easy to talk to, understanding of the little things that have bothered me (the appearance of skin tags on my neck before going to a wedding) and always willing to listen to my thoughts. I'd readily recommend him to friends and family.

Dr. Thompson, and the rest of the doctors and staff at Gainesville Family Physicians, are there for me for any medical situation and/or continuing regular care and testing for early detection of life's usual medical issues. Dr. T, as I refer to him, is a calm, kind and thorough doctor who has seen me through quite a bit during the 15-20 years I have been a patient. He explains things clearly and thoroughly, checks on my ongoing issues regularly and is helping me to try to stay healthy, in spite of myself. I am grateful for him, though, as we are all human, there have been several times mix-ups have happened. (There are several patients who share the same name as mine.) These are no more than expected, in fact less than those I have had with other doctors. Most importantly, he and the rest treat me with respect and are extremely courteous.

I would highly recommend Doctor Thompson to friends and family. His quiet professional manner inspires confidence and his highly developed listening skills are most appreciated.
