Dr. David Minh Truong, MD

This is the worst physician I have ever encountered. This man has no compassion, no empathy, and NO PATIENCE. I have been suffering from severe symptoms of GERD and IBS for years. The first meeting he did not conduct an examination. He just kept his face in his computer and asked me a few short questions about my symptoms and recommended me to buy certain herbal supplements. I was scheduled for an endoscopy. In the mean time my symptoms got increasingly worse. So his office person scheduled another appointment. This time Dr. Truong asked me the same questions as in the first visit. I began to describe my symptoms, but he interrupted me. He asked me another question; if I had taken the herbal supplements he "prescribed". I tried to explain that I started them but stopped and my explanation why (severe side effects). Dr. Truong interrupted me again. I said, "Please allow me to fully answer your question". Dr. Truong responded that he has many patients and needed to "direct my answers".… Feeling frustrated, I politely asked him to allow me to fully answer his questions. At this point he became quite angry. He said that I had a bad attitude, and maybe I "should see a psychiatrist." If Dr. Truong had reviewed my med list, he would have seen that indeed, I was under the care of a psychiatrist and were on anti-bipolar meds. I was shocked and appalled that any physician would tell his patient to see a psychiatrist! Particularly a patient who already is. IMO Dr. Truong has bias against people with mental conditions. Then again, perhaps he just discriminates against white folk. I wouldn't refer this angry discriminatory physician to my worst enemy. BTW, though he told me he had to direct my answers because he had so many patients, I was his last patient of the day. The waiting room was empty. perhaps he was simply in a hurry to end his work day. 5 o'clock.

I have been working with Dr. Truong since 2008 to resolve my HCV which I contracted in 1993. I was a special case as I work in Afghanistan, Argentina and Mexico. He worked directly with the Pharmacies to assist me in getting the proper medications in a timely fashion. I returned to the US and followed his protocols and Tx plan. I have been SVR since 2013 and couldnt be happier. I consider him more than a treatment specialist and more like a very knowledgeable and compassionte friend who does whatever is necessary to cure his patients. When my 83 y/o father fell ill, I called Dr. Truong and he made a special visit to the hospital to treat and care for him. Primary care physicians wont do that. I rate him, a great guy!

He spent the time to make sure everything was done right and was very patient with me. He explained everything and answered all questions. I feel very confident in this doctor.
