Dr. David Byeshin Tsai, MD

I was referred to Dr. Tsai by a psychologist after I was diagnosed with severe Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. The psychologist, whom I hold in very high esteem, indicated this physician to be a competent individual in regards to his knowledge of my condition and his familiarity with the options available to medically treat its symptoms. For the past six months I have seen this doctor, I have found that any knowledge he DOES seem to have about ADHD treatments are one of the following: completely incorrect in terms of dosage, represented a hazy recollection of certain medications' names and/or relationship to other medications, or referenced DIRECTLY from online forums (that in fact, where searched for using the computer directly in front of me). When a physician is so unsure about the pharmacological characteristics that separate two medications that he is willing to google the answer online IN FRONT OF THE PATIENT, there is something very wrong. For familiy practice, I'm… sure he is an adequate doctor. However, if you are seeking psychiatric aid from this individual, I would definitely suggest thinking twice. He clearly has no idea what he is doing, particularly when it comes to prescribing medications to treat ADHD. Also, his office computers have been "down" for 31 days now and counting. If this is not unacceptable, I do not know what is.
