Dr. Uptmore is awesome. I've been seeing him for 3 years and plan on continuing to use him as my dermatologist. His nurses are great as well. BUT, his front office is staff is rude. They got my appoint time correct but put me with the wrong doctor. They wouldn't fax over a coupon for an RX I was taking, so I had to drive all the way to Katy to pick up the coupon. The pharmacy told me they could use a fax and didn't need the hard copy of the coupon. They lost my chart while I was waiting to see the doctor. Not to mention that they would not accept my method of payment. I only had large bills and they wouldn't accept them. The girl who checked me out was exceedingly unfriendly and very rude. I've told Dr. Uptmore about this and he's let me know he and the other doctors are working on it. They seem to have a high turnover rate at the front desk and seem to be goofing off more than working. The upshot is, Dr. Uptmore and his nurse are amazing. The front office staff are rude and… unprofessional but I will continue to go there because of what an excellent doctor he is.

Dr. David Uptmore is the most professional, knowledgeable Doctor I have seen. He and his staff are very kind and attentive to patient needs and he is on time which is hard to find. I would highly recommend him to anyone if they needed a dermatologist.

Enjoyed the visit. They made me comfortable with my questions and spent the time to explain my diagnosis/treatment plan.

I have had only 1 appointment and so far I feel comfortable with the doctor. The receptionists were horrible. As a new patient they treated me like an interruption in their routine instead of a valued patient. The doctor needs to recognize that patients have more contact with the office support staff then him, and should hire employee who recognize the meaning of customer service. There are plenty of doctors in all fields in Houston. Make me want to return to your practice, not dread facing miserable unwelcoming staff.
