Dr. David Lawrence Wenzler, MD

Dr. Wenzler, Need to get better bed side manners and he is not the best doctor, I have ever seen. His office staff is very rude. He run in and out your office visit very fast he run in and out the exam room very fast. Won’t even give you a couple of minutes to answer your questions. Get you another doctor real fast.

With the help of my primary care doctor, Dr. Wenzler saw me the same day I found out I had a mass on my bladder. By the following Monday I had surgery. I've been clear for 6 months. Dr. Wenzler does not have the best "bedside" manner but is very thorough and tells you like it is. He's been good to me and I've never waited longer than 5-10 minutes to see him. He is very good and educated. I trust and recommend him.

Went in to see what options I had to remove a kidney stone. Was told to get x-rays, and scheduled surgery to remove the stone. Was also told that if they couldn't find the stone they could try to disintegrate it with ultrasound. Had the x-ray done the same day. Had to follow up to see when I could get the results of the x-ray. Had an e-visit. Called three times to get the e-visit link. Never came. Was told that the doctor was in surgery. Why waste my time? Why did I have to micro-manage the scheduling and follow-up? Canceled the e-visit and surgery. Don't trust this person. Awful. Definitely find somebody else. There are a TON of other urologists around.

Went to er with kidney stone and saw Dr Wenzler. I was not impressed with his explanation of my procedure. Discharge instructions said to call if I experienced one of the issues listed, which I did. Never got a call back. Waited 35 minutes in office for my follow up visit. During my brief time with me, he never made eye contact and had no answers for most of my questions. He told me to schedule an ultrasound. Went hone to check my schedule. Called a week of 2 later to schedule the test and was told he needed to see me. Made an appointment, waited for 40 min. When he finally came into the room, he spent one minute with me and told me I needed an ultrasound. Had to pay for an office visit just to hear him repeat what he told me on the previous visit. Had the ultrasound 3 weeks ago and still haven’t gotten the results. Called the office 11 times and no one answered. Finally called a different number and set up a tele- med call. Call was scheduled for 3:45. At 4:30 my phone rang and went… to answer it after the second ring and he had already hung up. Left no message and I’m back to trying to call his office with no one answering. Ridiculous!! Other doctors Ive been to who required me to have tests have always called with the results.

Quite possibly the most arrogant doctor in Michigan. Waited an hour and 20 minutes past my appointment time to see him -- he never showed. I checked with the staff 3 times and was told "we are not running too late today", "only 1 person ahead of you", and "your next". Finally decided to walk out and find a doctor that actually cares about his patients. Never even had the courtesy to apologize.

Has been an excellent Dr thru all the horrible stones I’ve had!

I would have given him Zero stars if possible. Dr Wenzler was the most rude, uncaring and unprofessional physician I have ever seen. He offered me no diagnostic ideas for my issues and was clearly in too big a hurry to talk to me. I intend to report his lack of professionalism to the referring physician and to the hospital (Providence Park) he is affiliated with. Do yourself a favor and find someone else who cares.

I have seen this doctor at the urology center suite 404 William Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak MI I went to the ER at McLaren Oakland because that was the closet ER to my home I was retaining urine they put a catheter in me to drain the urine from my bladder they told me to follow up with Dr. Wenzler he was rude and nasty with me he told me to stop going to the ER he the next time I come back with a catheter from the ER that he would leave the catheter in me and would not remove it and he told me if I did not like to go see another doctor

Didn't like his manner, ordered same test for two separate dates. Dr. Wenzler, is taking advantage of Medicare insurance ordering two dates for test that usually is done on same day and same visit. I had seen Dr Smith for many years before he retired in 2016. This Taking advantage of insurance. Had seen Dr. Smith for same test which was pre formed in Office and on same viist.Dr Wenzler wants to send me all the way to Novi on two different days to get extra billing of insurance from Medicare. His staff is very rude, getting new doctor, I don't feel comfortable with seeing him again

He is a very capable doctor and a very caring person.
