Dr. David Norman White, MD

I wanted to discuss facial cosmetic surgery and was referred to Dr. White by a friend upon whom he had operated. He was wonderful! Professional, sensitive and skilled. We decided upon a facelift and eyelid surgery and I am thrilled with the result. I look 15 years younger but don't have that "wind tunnel" look. The comments that I get from friends and acquaintances are all positive. The scars nearly invisible. In all, I couldn't be happier with Dr. White and his staff. 5 stars all around.

I had surgery for sagging skin on my face (typical for my age and skin type), called a Facelift and it was the best thing I ever did for myself. His bedside manner was caring and supportive and his years of experience surely paid off in my results. NO ONE can see the invisible scars! I didn't look different, just rested and better. Thank you Dr. White for all your care and wonderful concern. I LOVE MY FACELIFT!

I will not refer anyone to Dr White and I really wish I would have seen someone else. I have had a couple of other opinons by other plastic surgeons since I saw Dr W for a facelift. While we agree that we could see a result there were several areas that would need to be re-done due to jagged, bumpy visible scaring, sagging skin and a complete flattening of the tragus on both ears. I cannot afford another plastic surgeon and no one else in the same practice will help me for obvious political reasons so it seems I am stuck with all of the resulting problems. Dr White did not volunteer much information so although I attempted to be prepared as to what to expect, there were a lot of surprises and a lot of unsual and unsatisfactory responses to my questions. I ended up with scars that I need not have even gotten since the area where the scarring is was not lifted appropriately. My eyelids need to be totally redone, forehead, is adequate, but how long will it last? Ear area scarring… very bad, a lot of nerve damage in scalp. I have had surgery before (not plastic surgery but for other issues) so I know what to expect from good doctors. I can not urge you enough to continue your quest for the right doctor, do not see Dr White unless you are prepared for a lot of inadequate treatment and problems that will make you wish you had never done this. For your reference it has been over a year since I had my lift.

I just had surgery done by Mr. Marks who works with Dr. White. My surgery with Dr. Marks went exceptionally well, but it reminded me of the HORRIBLE experience I had with Dr. White in the past. So, keep in mind that he was my surgeon way back in the 1980s, and hopefully he has improved since then. But, boy was he bad then! He removed a inset mole from my back that was the size of a quarter. He put butterfly stiches on it which ware not strong enough to keep the skin together. He put the mole in a jar right in front of me (kind of disgusting) then told me not to run up and down stairs or do arobics for a few days. No pain medicine or further instructions. Turns out that since it was over my spine and a lot of muscle was taken out, it hurt to move at all for a week. When I tried to resume some normal daily activites (just basics), the wound opened up and got infected. I went back to him and he thought it was something I had done wrong and treated me as such. He obviously didn't think… about the fact that it was over the spine... My doctor at Kaiser (of all places) who had sent me to P.A. Med. to get a better result, said "Oh my God, I could have done a much better job than that myself." 25 years later it is still sensitive and unsightly. Wish I went to another doctor...

Dr White has very kindly met with me twice for consults without any compensation. He has answered my questions patiently and thoughtfully. I have confidence in his abilities an experience, which as far as I am concerned is very important! I had to put a rating in for aftercare but since I havent had that experience yet I couldnt very well put 4 stars... The office staff has been great! Very helpful and providing every assistance. Will check back here after my procedure.

Dr. White is a very caring,extremely skillful doctor whose wonderful bedside manner was so reassuring. He exceeded my expectations as to what the surgery results would be. I am totally delighted with the results of my mini face-lift and would strongly recommend him to all my friends and anyone looking for a truly great doctor.. I couldn't be happier!!

I am just going to him for second opinion. Had not done any revisions or procedures for me. At first he's trying to offer some hopes and promises, but later on is becoming rude and crude as he's the most senior in the department. Lately has been telling me just to screw off and don't even bother him anymore because he's just wasting his precious time on my medical case, and I said that all of my visits are being paid by my insurance, in fact he's the most highest paid in the list, and he replied that my insurance is nothing and does not pay him much. So who's being the beneficiary of the $300 or more of money that PAMF received from my insurance just having a 10 to 15 minute consultation with Dr. David White who is not still happy with that amount of money? When I've been a loyal patient of PAMF for more than 10 years, and one senior plastic surgeon resident will tell me all of the sudden that he's just wasting lots and lots of his precious time with me and don't want to see me… anymore? Telling me that I should see a psychotherapist for my problems when one of their resident is the cause of my face deformity? I never seen such a crude person, well not all the time in a decade. All his facial features are fake, he's actually a very temperamental rude doctor and does not choose his words very well when talking to his patient or patients. And he's the only one who had his own nurse when the rest of the residents have to share with the same medical assistants. And his nurse is also awfully arrogant.

Dr. White is an outstanding surgeon and a wonderful human being. Dr. White is results driven and a perfectionist at that. He is kind, considerate, and very sensitive to the needs of his patients. He donates his time and skills to those less fortunate. I recommend Dr. White to anyone who is looking for the best reconstructive plastic surgeon California has to offer.

Overall, aI was very comfortable with Dr. White. His nurse, Diane is great. My surgery went well with no complications. My scars went further and higher than I was told they would, so I was a little disappointed with the result. I won't be be able to wear a 2-piece swim suit but overall, I look great!
