Dr. David Whiting, MD

Dr. David Whiting is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and a senior associate in Cardiac Anesthesia within the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine, as well as an assistant professor of anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School. He specializes in pediatric cardiac anesthesiology and perioperative care for children undergoing complex cardiac and surgical procedures. Dr. Whiting earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed residency training in anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by fellowship training in pediatric anesthesiology and pediatric cardiac anesthesiology at Boston Children’s Hospital. In addition to his clinical work, he has contributed to research and quality improvement initiatives focused on perioperative monitoring, cardiac anesthesia, and improving safety and outcomes for children with congenital and acquired heart disease undergoing surgery.
