Dr. David Ray Wichman, DO

Dr. Wickman's office is staffed by incompetent front desk and nurses. They tell you they did something, but did not do it, and blame you for asking. If you want to avoid a frustrating experience, steer clear.

This Dr is old, rude, and very unprofessional. Because I did not do my blood work in advance but had waited months to discuss other important issues he dismissed and disrespected me. "Do not harm" is a principle he has forgotten. I walked out of the office and am looking for another competent and compassionate primary care Dr.

I saw him in May 2019 for a new patient visit. I had read the reviews here and was curious if I would connect with him. He was prompt, cordial, frank, and attentive. He reviewed my blood work with me in detail and explained the results. He talked with me about lifestyle and dietary changes I could make to address some concern areas and why each change was important. I appreciated his frankness.

I WILL FOLLOW HIS DIRECTIONS ANY DAY.

Dr. Wichman is very thorough and very frank about my health issues. He speaks, I listen. He has been correct every time. Every word has heart-felt sincerity. I have never felt better since Im under his care. I trust his medical abilities explicitly. Bravo!!!

dr wichman asked all the hard questions, filled scripts i was almost out of, and counselled me on simple lifestyle changes. he was warm, efficient, fluid in his knowledge as a physician, and treated me as someone that matters. i can't say enough about him and his staff. i was a nurse for 18 years many moons ago and I know a competent physician when I see one. he's genuine and the real deal.

The UMC system is the worst I've experienced. The wait for appointments is unacceptable (months later). The follow-up care is pitiful too!

Incredibly rude, incompetent, borderline dangerous. Grossly misdiagnosed obvious symptoms. Ordered a chest x-ray for abdominal pain and rectal bleeding. Prescribed a laxative (at 4 times the max dose) to "empty the liver of its poisons"! Steer clear of this menace.

If he is in a bad mood watch out. His staff is very rude!

If you are a senior citizen, he attributes any complaint to your age.He says it is expected that you will have aches and pains and basically suck it up. Due to his lack of attention, I left him and discovered that I had a merriad of problems such as hepatitis (NASH) and stage 3 kidney disease. If I had not changed doctors, I would have gone undiagnosed. His help (nurse) was very inneficient, rude and did not return phone calls in a timely manner.I made a written complaint about her and asked her to give it to the doctor and it strangely disappeared. It was the doctor that requested I write it.
