I brought my daughter in for her 1 year general wellness check and immunizations. We were seeing a wonderful Pediatrician in Austin but since we moved back to East Texas, we needed someone a bit closer. The nurses at the office were very rude and inconsiderate of my concerns, the doctor was also. My daughter has an umbilical hernia that was disregarded and her behavioral concerns were also disregarded. She also had an ear infection that was minor. The doctor said nothing else on the subject of her ear so I thought she would be back 100% within the week. Within that week, I received 4 phone calls from my pharmacy saying I had a medication to pick up. I didn't pay any mind to it because I can call like that mistakingly all the time. I finally called my pharmacy after the 4th call to see what I had ready to be picked up -- antibiotics for my daughter. WHAT?! The doctor, nurses, and staff completely failed to tell me they prescribed antibiotics to her. Her then minor ear infection is… worse and I now have another dr. appt. scheduled for her. I felt so alone and feel awful for not researching more about this doctor.

We moved here several months ago. I set up an appointment to have my daughter get her check-up and immunizations before school started. They were good to get me in and I made the appointment a couple of weeks in advance. I had to wait over 15 minutes just to get paperwork and check in because there was only one person answering the phone and it was ringing off the hook. Phone calls received priority over live bodies waiting at the desk. When we got there, they didn't have the medicine for the vaccinations needed and school started the next day. She couldn't attend without it. They told us we would have to come back, but finally decided to borrow it from another doctor. For my other child, I took him in to transfer his ADHD prescription and establish a relationship the new doctor. We waited for over an hour. When it came time for the refill, I left a message on the prescription line as I have with my previous 2 doctors. 24 hours later, I had not received a call back to let me… know my prescription was ready for pickup. I called in and was told that I couldn't request those meds on the prescription line. I had to come into the office and fill out a form. Then come back later to pick up the prescription (I know this part is standard.) No one called to inform me. I live in a rural area and this is a rural community. It would take me over 2 hours a month just to get the prescription. Time with the doctor was fine. Nothing stood out either way as super good or super bad. But due to customer service issues, I regret using this office. The staff is friendly, they just don't make the time and convenience of their customers a priority.

I brought my daughter in because her foot was swelling up and turning dark purple. At the same time this would happen, her leg would lock up, have a sharp pain, and there was a hard lump on the back side of her knee under the vein. She also would get severe headaches and when this would happen, she would get a hard lump on her forehead right underneath a vein. When I explained this to dr. Wardell, she told me it was probably just growing pains and not to worry about it. She didn't offer any referrals or anything. A couple days later, I was doing my own online research to try to diagnose her, and I called the office asking for a referral to a specialist. They told me she would have to be seen by the doctor first. I told them she had already been seen by the doctor for this problem and the doctor was not able to diagnose the issue correctly. They told me I would have to make another doctors appointment. When I came for the next appointment, dr. Wardell just told me the same thing- that… it was probably just growing pains, but she really didn't know. I had to tell her what I found online and what specific specialists I wanted her to go see because she "had no idea". And I had to miss work, my daughter had to miss school, I had to drive 39 minutes there and back and pay a co-pay 2 times in a row for nothing.

She saw my son in the office and said he 'probably' needed to be admitted to hosp. But then said he'd be seen by someone else because she doesn't see people in the hospital. What's the point in that....now I just take him to a dr. that does see their own patients. And the front staff at ped. Associates are rude most of the time.

Long wait. Rude staff. Doesn't do hospital care. We won't be back.

If you want to wait for 3 days for an appointment. Wait over an hour in the waiting room and an hour in the examining room and then another hour after you leave the office for the prescription then by all means you should use this doctors office. Otherwise it would be faster to drive to another town for medical care. I have 11children and have been going to pediatricians for over 38 years and this was the worst experience I have ever had. Oh and one of the prescriptions wasn't filled and couldn't even get the nurse to call us back the next day. So still have a sick little boy after trying to get medical care for over 4 days.

MY BOYS HAVE BEEN GOING TO HER FOR 10 AND 12 YEARS. I COULDNT HAVE CHOSEN A BETTER DR. SHE IS AWESOME. AN ISSUE OR CONCERN I HAVE HAD SHE HAS ADDRESSED. WE DRIVE FROM IRVING,TX JUST SO SHE CAN CONTINUE TO SEE THEM. TRUST ME.... YOU WANT HER AS YHOUR CHILD'S DAUGHTER. I READ THE PREVIOUS REVIEWS AND I'M GUESSING THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT THE WRONG DOCTOR BECAUSE SHE IS EXCEPTIONAL. THE RECPTIONIST IS A BIT RUDE AND UNFRIENDLY BUT THAT DOESNT TAKE AWAY FROM HER AS A DOCTOR.

Rude staff. Rushed visit. Won't go back.

OUTSTANDING!! My children just love her, she spends time with her patients and answers all my questions and concerns. Her staff is very friendly and the office is one of the best ones I have seen in town. Clean and kid friendly.

Terrible visit. Staff are very rude and unfriendly. She rushed in, did not address our reason for being there. Hardly even spoke to my child. Would definitely NOT recommend.
