Dr. Davidson Howard Givens, MD

I have been treated by Dr. Givens for about three years. I like him, and his treatment. He takes plenty of time with the consultation, and explains my condition and medication options thoroughly and understandably. He is also appropriately sensitive to my concerns and questions. All that on the positive side is completely negated by the utter impossibility of dealing with his appointments staff. He may want a three-month followup scheduled, but the appointments procedure will not allow an appointment to be made that far in advance. They will send a "call for an appointment" letter about three months after your visit, but they will then not be able to schedule your follow-up until several months later. (What happened to their claim that they couldn't schedule three months ahead?) As a result, Dr Givens may want a three-month follow-up, but you can't get an appointment for six or seven months.
