Summary
Dr. Sand completed his MD degree at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and went on to complete a Family Practice Residence at Smileys Clinic, also through the University of Minnesota. Following his completion of Residency training, Dr. Sand became a Major in the US Army. During his Active Duty he worked for clinics in Hohenfels, Germany; Mons, Belgium; and Brussels, Belgium. Following his Active Duty, he returned to the US to complete an Emergency Medicine Fellowship at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee. Dr. Sand joined the staff of Hutchinson Health following the completion of his fellowship in 2008 and has been the Emergency Medicine Medical Director since 2010. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine.
