Dr. Dawn Maurine Cardwell, MD

I’ll love dr cardwell she had been my pediatrician ever since I was a baby (I am now 16) I was heart broken when she moved to Georgia but have never forgotten about her

Dawn cardwell is a disrespectful pediatrician, she clearly has no patience with children, I regret that I ever step foot in her office. I DISLIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT HER AS A DOCTOR. I feel sorry for the sectary that work in her office.

Dr. C has a fun, warm and inviting personality. She really knows how to connect with my teenager. Wait time depends on how busy the office is, and time of day; but we never experienced any prolonged waiting. I highly recommend this pediatrician.

Dr Cardwell is very rude and unprofessional. This doctor could be knowledgeable if she was not so arrogant. She does not listen to parents observations at all.....whatever you observed as a parent is always WRONG!!! She often is very sarcastic and uses medical terms to intimidate and belittle parents. Because of her inability to listen she often makes mistakes or can misdiagnose your child. She seems to be more concerned with collecting copays rather than treated children.

Dr Carwell and her staff are wonderful. Her staff is always so helpful and pleasant. Dr Cardwell is very nice, informative and always available to answer all of our questions. She takes so much time with every patient and always follows up with a phone call to check how my children are doing. I have never waited longer than 5-10 minutes even when I make a unexpected sick visit. She always makes us comfortable and even my children enjoy going to see her!

Overall she had been great with my children in terms o ully explaining things to them and making them feel involved in their visits. however her one office assistant has pushed me to leaving.After asking to get a shot record faxed, she inormed me of charges i was not aware of.I immediately paid them. she then called back and said there was another outstanding balance over 1 year old that she never called nor mentioned during other visits and basically held the shot record hostage until i agreed to pay it even though the boys father covers their insurance and is responsible. I paid it and paid to get my records sent elsewhere. Sorry Dr. Cardwell your staff is a detriment.

Her enthusiasm is amazing. She is great with babies.

Dr. Cardwell is caring, compassionate, and knowledgable. She is always available when my child is ill, and responds fully to my questions. I recommend her highly!

Nice and clean office. Courteous office staff. Minimal wait times. Dr. Cardwell builds good repor with children however I do find her to be a bit indifferent towards parental concerns at sick visits. At times I've found her tone condescending when discussing a sick child.

I put up with no flu shots, vague responses as to how to treat my child but the rudeness of overall patient care is less than stellar. Doesn't check on patients, acts like its a hassle to assist when you're calling for sick child. In South Orange, turns out her reputation for customer service and turning away patients is fairly HIGH. She's losing me as a patient because of the hassle with making an appointment.
