Dr. Dawn Ellen Gunter, MD

I'm fiercely bipolar which is nearly impossible to live with. Within several months of first seeing Dr Gunter I was largely stabilized with meds which were not happy pills and don't make me feel happy, just much closer to normal. We refined my meds over the next year or so and since then I have continued to see Dawn maybe 3 times a year for med checks for about 15 years. And by the way I had tried 3 other psychiatrists before Dr Gunter, and a dozen psychologists before that, all with literally zero results.

Dr Gunter offers suggestions, articles to read, or suggest what would be in your best interest. If needed she refers to other Physicians according to the individual's problems. and needs. I have been with Dr Gunter for along time, and she saved me, and my marriage,. I appreciate her, she is not only a wonderful physician, but she a wonderful woman. I am truly thankful and appreciate her as a Physician.

Dr. Gunter is one of the best. She brings a rare combination of staying updated, being truly concerned and working WITH a patient. She is a doctor's doctor.

I went through a lifetime (30+ years) of psychologists and then 2 years and 4 psychiatrists before finding Dawn Gunter. Dawn carefully identified my psycho/medical issues over several visits and then created a balance of medications which, in my view, not only saved my marriage but turned me into a something of a human being rather than a raving lunatic. And I am far more productive at the very demanding technical work I do for a living. I have stayed with Dawn over 10 years now, seeing her about 4 times per, for med checks. And did I mention? Personally, she's a doll.
