Dr. Dawn Ellen Springer, MD

I have had Dr. Springer for about 10 years and I love having her as my primary care doctor. She takes the time to listen every time I see her and always has suggestions or ideas to help. She is willing to help in anyway she can and make referrals if needed. It is rare to find a doctor who truly listens to your concerns but I feel like Dr. Springer not only listens but also cares about her patients.

I was a patient of Dr. Springer for over a decade. It was lovely at first but looking back I felt there was a slow decline in her ability to care for patients. I felt I became just a number to her rather than human. During the ongoing pandemic, I was fearful of going out as I have several comorbidities. Dr. Springer agreed to a telehealth appointment. When the vaccines came out I scheduled myself for my first jab immediately. I was running low of my hypertension meds and asked (begged) Dr. Springer for a three-week extension of them until I could get that shot... and she said 'No. It would be bad medicine'. Thus I went almost a month with no meds. My last appointment with her 'was the last.' I was having trouble with my legs (I had fallen down twice already) and I wanted her knowledge of what should be done. Her answer was, 'No. It wasn't on the appointment description.' She says things and then doesn't remember; prescribes needless procedures and on occasion appointments are cancelled… because the doctor is unavailable. Dawn is nice enough. I'm sure in her day she was outstanding in her field. Sadly today, she needs to be behind a gated community as a Florida pensioner concentrating on being a grandmother.

I've been a patient of Dr Springer's for almost 20 years. She takes my concerns seriously and she is very thorough in her exams. She's kind and listens.

As directed, I was there 15 minutes before my appointment (needlessly so) and was still in the waiting room 20 minutes after my appt time. Knowing that even if I was called, I'd be sitting in the exam room possibly another 15 minutes or more. This is ALWAYS the case unless I am scheduled the first thing in the morning or first in the afternoon. Today my patience wore thin and went to the window to reschedule. The receptionist called to the nurse to get an explanation of the delay. The doctor had just walked in to the appointment scheduled 30 minutes PRIOR to mine. Dr. Springer is very thorough almost to a fault and I feel she DOES empathize with your problems. But her appointments NEED MORE TIME so we aren't the patients time are handled more respectfully.

I had been going to Dr. Springer for 17 years. Unfortunately, towards the end of my visits with her, she began commenting on things I was NOT in the office for. She has made my family cry during our visits multiple times and has lost the passion for her practice.

After making an appointment to be a new patient a month in advance I was called two days before the appointment saying that it is canceled. Due to the doctor not wanting to see me as a patient for something happened in my family over 35. That is on acceptable they should've just seen the name and said sorry we cannot accept you as a new patient. Not leading me on for a month.

Went in with neck pain twice. First she sent me to ER thinking my artery was dissecting. Found out it was a herniated disc. Went back second time she said to go back to ER. So she cost me 2 doc copays and 2 ER copays for a herniated disc. That was more money and fear than I could really afford.

I love Dr. Springer. She always takes the time to listen to my concerns. I never feel rushed or like I am not important. I feel she really cares about me the patient. She is always honest with me when I ask about taking certian medications or ask about new procedures. I value Dr. Springer and am blessed to have her as my doctor.

Blames patient for problems. Refers to other doctors too much. Doesn't coordinate care.
