Dr. Dawn Pilger Williams, PhD

This provider was a court-appointed reunification therapist, part of a group frequently referred through the court system. My experience with her was deeply upsetting—for both me and my child. Despite a no-contact order, she left my child alone with his father during a session (documented in a formal complaint), and allowed him to bring lavish gifts that were withheld unless my child agreed to visit at his home. Her attire during child-focused sessions—short skirts and low-cut tops—felt highly inappropriate. These actions caused confusion, emotional distress, and a sense of coercion. Ultimately, my child’s father lost all custodial rights. I strongly urge parents to research carefully and to advocate fiercely for their child’s emotional safety when working with any court-appointed mental health professional.

Dawn has been my primary therapist for over a decade now. I met her shortly after being medically retired from the military and found myself struggling with PTSD, chronic pain and chemical dependence. She has managed to help me through all of those things and is still there to work with me anytime I need her. I can honestly say I would not have the life I have if I had not been lucky enough to find her. What makes this more important to me is that I found her after literally dozens of military and VA therapists were unable to help in anyway. In my experience Dawn is one of a kind when it comes to quality, effective therapy, and anyone who has worked with her should feel blessed to have been able to do so.

Dawn has been my personal therapist for over 8 years. She has helped me significantly in my personal life and is always there when I need her. Her guidance has helped me get to where I am in life and she continues to help me better myself as a person, wife, and now mother. I will forever be great full for her continued support.

Terrible. This person was biased against me from the second I walked in the door and did everything she could to get my X wife more custody right out of the gates. It was an uphill battle from day one, and whether she did not like me or does not like men, I do not know. Either way, it was a terrible experience for me and my daughter.

Dawn Pilger Williams was unable to help in my family's reunification case. I waited once for over an hour only to find out that she had forgotten about the session. It is almost impossible to get a hold of her. She may be good for individual therapy, but high conflict family or divorce therapy, she most definitely did not help my family. I would not recommend her for any therapy in that area at all. Additionally, she has not worked at the Hollywood location in over 5 years. I know because my primary therapist works there. Dawn may be able to help you, but she was unable to reunify us.
